Hazard hates FTC, nuff said. Most all of this was addressed in the comments section under his article as well, where he retracts the part you quote. It’s also been addressed many times on this forum. Haters gonna hate.

I think you are correct, it is amazing to see how many people still haven’t even heard of Bitcoin, leave alone FTC.

The biggest problem is, we now have these ex-Federal Bank officials and other bankers/influential financial people saying how bad BTC and derived currencies are… And that is probably the only information that a large portion of the population has received on the subject! When I am a normal guy who has never heard about Bitcoin, and suddenly highly ranked officials are telling me that this is a huge bubble with no intrinsic value whatsoever, do you think I would ever even consider Bitcoin or cryptocurrency as a whole again?

We might go out there and search for objective information on the matter but fact is, MANY people don’t and will take this news for solid fact…

I agree, crypto is already becoming useful for currency transfer. This payment processors idea is one way it could quickly become mainstream. The shop could use either of the payment boxes, you don’t have to replace the old one.

Also, could that payment processor be by SMS or a mobile phone application? So it could be used by new markets with no card systems? ie Africa

Transactions avg. per hour 30.83

30.83 / 7.5 = 4.1106 with a repetition bar over the 6 transactions per block.

That’s correct. There are too many people who care about this project and want to see it succeed. But it may be that the mainstream want it at a bargain price, so be it. I can wait.

LTC estimated difficulty: 20% up
FTC estimated difficulty: 40% down

Both changes happen around the same time.

This means miners will flock to FTC and we are back up 40% in no time.

Is there an ETA for the new difficulty adjustment algorithm?

From what I can see, Bushstar seems to have done everything possible to minimise the de-centralisation aspect of ACP and involve the community, well done.

ACP is based on the work of PPCoin and Primecoin who also suffered from possible hash change over from other coins, so it has been trialled by other coins?.

I picture some of the NSA guys, sitting in their ivory tower, watching down on Bitcointalk forum and having a ball. One day, when Bitcoin would become a serious thread, they register a newbie account, and their first posting are just 3 lines of code: Code that allows everybody to break the SHA-256 algorithm. ;)

seems on time but no fork and seems to be nearly equal to the hash rate of the network so can’t sustain the time split so far can be a fork for after will see. The attacker address for now is
