RE: Mobile Wallets
Although I agree with the statement that a web based wallet would grant accessibility for all, isn’t a Wallet app better then a Webpage?
Just help me out here :P I am thinking about the possibilities of, for example, Near Field Communication (NFC)? Isn’t that only possible with an app? Also, many webpages have launched special apps specifically aimed at smartphone users. If having a normal webpage would suffice, then why would they even create these apps?
I still think an app is, in the end, the best way to go for a wallet. The ease of acces, the look of it, the idea of actually “carrying” those nice soft Feathers in your pocket… That’s what makes me happy! :D
I understand Apple is just being an *** again by forcing users to use their products, and ONLY their products, but I think it is a dying field. In my personal close environment, the “closedness” of Apple products is actually “converting” Apple fans to Android. People are sick of having to use iTunes, people are sick of not having freedom on your own bloody phone.
I think Apple should rethink their strategy instead of us adapting to Apple users. Oh, you can’t download a wallet? Might be time you switched to a operating system that works like it should: giving you the freedom to do whatever the hell you want with that phone you just bought for 600$. (!!!)
But that’s just my opinion :)
(Actually, now that I really think about it, I just don’t see ANY reason to ever buy an Apple product again, apart from the look. And if looks are the only thing you care about, I don’t even want to do business with you. “I’ll take my Feathers and business elsewhere then, good day to you sir!”)
EDIT: Wouldn’t a single Webpage/Webwallet that everyone uses make this a rather… centralized affair? Wouldn’t it be more vulnurable to h4x0rs? Or am I just talking crap now? :P
Oh, and I also “bolded”/highlighted a few sentences that I like as one liners xD

RE: Crowdfunded Awareness Campaign- the key to overtaking BTC?
*BUMP?*
Now I admit I haven’t done much in the past few days, but after this week I’ll be back in the game!
To give a small update, I haven’t heard back from our Piccadilly friends at all. I haven’t had the time to contact any other advertising company so currently, not much going on.
Kevlar generously offered to set up a FTC adress for the donations and create a small widget for it, but as he is currently heavily involved in the FTClover case, I don’t expect him to be able to dedicate time to that at this moment in time.If we want to make this work we need some action people! We need advertising companies, we need designs for the ad’s, etc. etc.
Get involved! :D

RE: Massive Buy wall set up!!
I know the name should never be said out loud, but this feels like the “old” days (It feels like that to me for some reason, but I am talking about 2 months ago :P ) when that Fontas guy was pumping and dumping his way to the top of the trollbox hype list… It better be real. Genuine interest in the currency would be great, but if this is a pump 'n dumper it will only hurt the currency.
Fingers crossed I guess?
EDIT: decided to join in the fun, it has been too long… :P I love the mindless screaming, the madness, the hilarious descriptions of currencies that are leaving the atmosphere… I endulge in it.

RE: Looks like FTC price is out of red!
I have never seen an order of that magnitude, I am in cryptoshock. There is, unfortunately, only one term that can adequatly describe my feelings right now…
TO THA MOOOOON! :D
Seriously though, I am really happy about the price bounce… Should restore trust in the currency.

RE: It's so difficult to get Feathercoins
Now I would have no idea how to create it at all, but…
Why don’t we just start a serious FTC/USD/EUR/??? Exchange ourselves? We probably have quite a few Feathers on here to invest ourselves, and we could actually provide Featherminers with a nice marketplace to sell their abundant FTC!
I am not sure due to maybe technical/legal limitations but I actually think we could pull this off if some people would be willing to create it in some way… Screw BTC-e, lets start our own exchange!
EDIT: and integrate it smoothly in the new website! :D

RE: How much should we worry about Forum Hacking?
Just got an email from BTC-e claiming that I have requested a password change, which I obviously didn’t.
I for one am now genuinly concerned, although all passwords I use are different. Please take this seriously and CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD(S)!
Just wanted to give you guys a heads up.

RE: A proposal to this community
I totally agree on this one. Reddit is essentially a huge online marketplace for Feathercoin and it should be used as part of a global awareness campaign. We need more people to recognize this coin for what this truly is: the future of transactions. Of payment. Of money.
Reddit could bring in tons of members, members that are willing to donate time and resources to help get this coin out to the masses.
I would say aye to a better cooperation between the two platforms, and I will be happy to contribute in any way possible. :)
EDIT: I stick with the idea of starting some serious physical awareness campaign in the UK though, simply because they actually have the infrastructure (Bitty) and a physical location where it is already used as a valid currency. Ideal conditions for a national marketing offensive!

RE: \[ANN\] Community Pay Back P2Pool \[mine-ftc.co.uk\]
Yes. Excellent proposal, it would be great if we could get some of those hashes to support ongoing projects like the Awareness Fund or further development of the coin/wallet/community/etc.
I don’t have a mining rig (yet) so I might be out of place when I say I endorse this, but as soon as those megahashes are set up I would gladly participate in this pool!
Yet another great example of community creativity! That’s a +1 Rep for you my friend.

RE: Crowdfunded Awareness Campaign- the key to overtaking BTC?
Kevlar, that sounds awesome. Creating full transparancy regarding the donations is a top priority here and a widget like that can provide just that. It could even ignite the fire of enthusiasm when people see we are actually raising a nice amount of money, pushing them to consider a small donation as well! :D
I also think we can all agree on the fact you are a trusted and reputable member of the community, although if any objections exist, please voice them people! :) Otherwise, I would say go for it.Small update regarding the advertising agencies: I haven’t heard back from Piccadilly Lights yet (which kind of bewonders me, not the way I would conduct business with a future customer… But what do I know? I’m not a professional I guess…) but I did receive an enthusiastic email from SignKick, saying they would gladly give a quick demo of their platform. Apart from their pro-business attitude that some advertising companies seem to lack (*coughing*) they seem to be more in our (expected) price range (although, if some whale decides to support the cause that might change completely!) and when I think about it, having the future of transactions plastered on busstops, billboards, streetpanels, etc. doesn’t sound to shabby to me.
If someone wants to take a look: http://www.signkick.co.uk/
As previously mentioned, I am really busy ATM, but let’s keep up the vibe people, I think we can really do something here!
