[/quote]The retarget does occur every 504 blocks, but this is counted from block 1, not the retarget at block 33,000, which was a special one-off.
33,000/504 = 65.4, so next retarget is at 66 x 504 = 33,264, now 80 blocks away.

It seems the block-33000-effect has squibbed already, but at least we stabilized.

Time to retarget finally fell under 3 days but then of course jumped back up to over 3 days.

There is a need for another field for the next block on the stats page. I will get it added.
The next adjust is at block 33,264 which is now 79 blocks to go. We’ll find it easier to get hash rate after the next change.

Good to know. I’ll keep mining away … up to around 3000kh/s on my rigs now and mining through coinotron to pull a steady 90 coins a day.
I hope that the hit to the price is not too severe with the retarget, anything to increase the profitability will help to bring on board more miners (which in turn will help price).
