The darkest hour of my life was when I’d watched the last episode of breaking bad. I neeeed moar!!!
I believe we have “Saul Goodman” the series coming soon. :)

That we do. I loved every bit of Breaking Bad. I really hope Better call Saul continues the epicness.
Also +1 to Ignition for the obvious, and +1 to Svenn for the memes… Those were my reactions one after the other.

Extra awesome!
Now I understand why you were complaining about the “noise” in the warehouse… if you put the cards horizontally you could literally LIFT that freaking warehouse!
Respect!! (+ a little bit of envy)
:P

Ya was the reason why I went 270x and not 280x, I spend a lot of time in there and soon I will be living there too :-)
x11 has made the warehouse bearable…
For a very short time I had a crate of Sapphire 290x’s, it made more noise than all the other rigs put together and that mother f*cker would echo off the walls and floor like I was being tortured, it almost drove me mental…

Mother of God. This is beautiful :'(
What was the initial cost for all of this and where are you running this from?

30 rigs, 10 BTC Asics, Electrical Work, Security, didn’t get a whole lot of change out of $150k… I almost just invested all of it in BTC, FTC, DRK and VTC but mining is more fun… And hey, it wouldn’t be crypto if I didn’t get scammed on Country and Colour coins now would it?
I’m in Australia dude, Melbourne, it’s a bit of an IT hub down under, we had a reasonably impressive BTC conference recently…

Have you made back the money you invested yet?

This is a very interesting statement… I’ll have to investigate that before my sweet half will go berserk! 280s are noisy and a kitchen “may” not be the best place to put a mining rig. :P

At current crypto values i bet not.
At this point in time im giving my cards an small holiday to rest up waiting for the values to sving around.
Off course it all depends on how much the electrisity cost, i pay 0.17$ pr KW…

Oh, man… I wish they made me pay for kW… he he he! I would only pay 1 $ per month with a 5 kW contract!
I bet they cover your kWh consumption, right :D
Anyway… your electricity is so cheap! And you say you’re not covering the electricity cost with the mining? Oh my god… here in japan it is about 0.3 $/kWh (but it rises when you use a lot of electricity). I don’t want to do the calculations to avoid committing suicide.
Let’s put it this way: mining is freaking fun… it doesn’t matter if you get the money back Only valid if your GPU per family member ratio is less than 2
-
I started mining with GPU again, mergedmining BLAKE256 waiting for Dirac…

at 40% fan r9270 1,6Gh/s 65degrees, 7790 0,8Gh/s 45degrees…wow

No not yet mate, but with the rise of x11 coins leasing my farm out configured to x11 spec is making things reasonable. Mind you, I’ve only had the 30 rigs humming along for a week, so time will tell…

Haha yes I have had to change my strategy somewhat and look further than past my own nose for profit. I’m playing the long game on a few currencies which will make things profitable in the future…
-
I will be leasing them out mainly and just buying whatever coins I want to invest in, that’s the plan anyway…
How much will you be leasing them for? and how long? Month intervals? Yearly? Weekly?

Check out BetaRigs, you can lease your rigs out for 3. 6. 12. 24, 48, 72 and 168 hours… Depending on how busy it is, you can get anywhere from .0015 and .0045 BTC per Mh/s per day running x11…
-
Ignition, have you updated your X11 to X11mod? I got a speed increase from 1400->1900 on each 270x. Not bad, eh? :) In your case, that would be HUGE!
Yeah man farm went from 260 to 390 Mh/s in one foul swoop… They were talking about this x11 mod on the deep web for a while now but I could never find it…
-
Mamma mia…
-
Ah great, I remembered you immediately after I tested it and saw that it really makes a difference! Happy hashing ;)
Haha thanks man it made a massive difference, very pleased with the results… How’s your rig running these days? I’m very pleased I went the 270x, I’ve gone full retard and I’m moving into the warehouse where the rigs are, you can live next to a farm of 270s…
-
Ahhh I was looking at PiMP as well, it looks really good… How are you finding it so far?
So many people I’ve spoken to have also followed a similar pattern. Once you try x11 or one of the other exotic Algos, it’s very difficult to use Scrypt again…
Guy like KNC have been testing their ASICS for a while now, that’s where all the profits have gone of late, the ASIC testers… x11 is on the rise, leasing is getting busy on weekends now, I’ve been buying DRK, FTC and NRS with my rental profits…
-
That sounds like a really cool idea… How popular is PiMP becoming?
