Bitcoin competitor Feathercoin launches Ebay-style market
Oxford, UK: Feathercoin’s development team launches an Ebay-style market exchange on Monday June 10th. Potential buyers can now purchase items ranging from Xbox video games to Samsung digital cameras with their Feathercoin currency. Feathercoin Market is one example how this alternate digital currency is positioning itself into mainstream adoption. When asked about Feathercoin’s future, lead programming developer Peter Bushnell had this to say:
“The focus now is largely on merchant adoption. Rather than just ask merchants to use Feathercoin, we are working to provide the tools to make this happen. The idea is that we do most of the hard work so merchants do not have to. We are asking merchants to tell us what they need and then feed that back into our development.
Some of the tools planned are as follows:
1. Create Feathercoin shopping carts for many well-known systems.
2. Create an API for Feathercoin integration. This will allow querying of the value of FTC in different currencies or conversion of different currencies into FTC.
3. Make an online tool available for generating custom graphics with URLs if desired that can be handled by the client. We are working on client updates to facilitate this along with other new client enhancements.
4. Put together our own Official Feathercoin merchandise shop as a demonstration of the above tools. All the merchant tools will be bundled together on the official site. we have plans to evolve the system into a solution with the addition of online wallets and built in escrow. This would allow people to hold Feathers on the market and pay through the system instead of contacting the seller for details. The escrow would hold the coins until goods have arrived and the buyer informs the system or a certain amount of time has passed, just in case the buyer has forgotten.â€
Along with the Feathercoin Market launch, the Feathercoin official forum community is giving away over $1000 of Feathercoin in participation based contests. Forum members’ work on tasks related to Feathercoin and gain entry into 11 different drawings. The contest prize is being donated by lead projects developer, John Manglaviti, as a way to say thank you to all those who volunteer time working on real-world Feathercoin market solutions.

This is great, this is being send to the same as last Monday?
Maybe point out a bit more that a real ‘easy check-out’ is being created for “Virtuemart, magento, opencart etc” (If this is the case off course, but i thought i’ve read that somewhere)

Please consider the following changes for consistency, brevity, and grammar:
The crypto-currency Feathercoin is launching an Ebay-style marketplace on Monday June 10th, 2013. With this launch buyers can now purchase physical items with their Feathercoin currency. The Feathercoin Marketplace is one example of how this digital currency is positioning itself for mainstream adoption. When asked about Feathercoin’s future, lead programming developer Peter Bushnell had this to say:
“The focus is on merchant adoption. Rather than just ask merchants to use Feathercoin, we are working to provide the tools to make this happen. If we do most of the hard work, merchants will be able to easily integrate Feathercoins into their existing payment solutions. We are asking merchants to tell us what they need and then respond to that with our development."
Some of the tools planned are as follows:
1. Create Feathercoin shopping carts for many well-known systems.
2. Create an API for Feathercoin integration. This will allow querying of the value of FTC in different currencies or conversion of different currencies into FTC.
3. Make an online tool available for generating custom QR codes that can be handled by the client.
4. Creating a Feathercoin merchandise shop as a demonstration of the above tools. All the merchant tools will be bundled together on the official site at http://feathercoin.com. Eventually the system will evolve into a solution with the addition of online wallets and built in-escrow which would allow people to pay through the system instead of contacting the seller directly.
Along with the Feathercoin Marketplace launch, the Feathercoin official forum community is giving away over $1000 of Feathercoins for participation in contests. The contest prize is being donated by lead projects developer John Manglaviti as a way to say thank you to all those who volunteer time working on real-world Feathercoin solutions.

In my personal opinion Kevlar’s version does achieve a slightly smoother read.
What sort of “well known systems” are you referring to? e-commerce carts accepting FTC at the checkout or have i got the wrong end of the stick?
Other than that though, excellent work!
p.s. missing an “of”… is one example of how this alternate

Other than that, looks great.
