Ultimately the same amount of coins will be mined as that’s what a diff adjust is for, smaller, quicker adjusts simply make it fairer to the loyal.

It’s all about the psychology. Keep them happy, they will stay. Upset them, they leave… simples. :)
My guess is that it will all average out in terms of hashrates, miners and coins mined etc. The difference will be that MORE will go to the people who loyally follow and contribute 1 way or another to the coin/community and LESS of the coins to the greedy miners who chase the most profitable coin and probably don’t even know who Bushstar is.
This coin was built on the community, the community was built on people looking out for each other. If we stop looking after the community, there’s very little left to differentiate us from all the other alt coins.

The classic is “here’s my spec will that be OK?” and a quick look at the spec goes against just about every post I (and most of the other experienced miners) have ever made in this forum.

Nutnut had a N00b moment. In copying over the “accounts” table from the old pool i forgot to apply a change on the table so no-one could register! :-[

There’s no difference in payout amounts.
Prop simply divides the CURRENT block reward by all shares submitted that round and apportions the payouts to the miners according to the shares they submitted. PPLNS does almost exactly the same but spreads it out over x number of blocks.
In terms of payout amounts they will be identical. Only difference is that for PPLNS you have to wait for a few blocks before you get paid (and you will also get paid for a few block AFTER you stop mining) whereas PROP will pay as soon as the block is found for that round. As soon as you stop mining, your payouts stop too.
We chose prop as too many n00b miners scream scam on PPLNS pools as they feel they don’t get paid whilst the ramp up occurs.

Joking aside guys, all admins (myself included) have been made “staff” until we have all had the opportunity to reset passwords etc (as a precaution). All will regain their admin rights… :)
