\[Eligible\]Mining

Item:1
My mining rig is one MSI HD7790 put into my home computer with win7 64bit.
I use Guiminer scrypt alpha with settings:
Thread concurrency 8000, worksize 256, vectors 1, intensity 17, gpu threads 1, use stratum.
GPU is underclocked with MSI afterburner to 830MHz and with this settings I have 245kH/s.
Without underclock the hashrate drops down. I am writing this post while mining at intensity level 17 with no problems,
whole pc is very quiet and sucks only 130W. I did not use APPSDK, and for graphic card I have newest beta driver. And here is complete hardware of my “rig”:
AMD Athlon II X4 620
Gigabyte MB
4GB ram
250HDD, 1TB HDD, both Samsungs
1x MSI HD7790
Forton 550W PS
Coolermaster case and Samsung DVD writerI am mining 24/7 on coinotron.
For the future I am commited to buy one 7950 to expand my tiny mining (just have to beat my wife with arguments now :))
I quite dont understand how to put pictures here, so I add them as attachements.
I am mining FTC maybe 1/2 of month and I have no plans to stop.

I have several computers dotted around, just old ones. If I install FTC wallet will it do anything to support the network? Will they have to be running all the time to have that effect?
By installing and having the wallet actively running ,even if just in the background, you are helping relay transactions on the network, there by in essence strengthening the network .

I’ve got 2 PCs set up, one was our server, the other a backup PC we left dual core when me and my son upgraded our PCs to four core. I’m mining p2pool.org to distribute the mining but have managed to set up solo mining during the 10th June attack, as a backup if the pool gets badly affected again.
PC.1.Intel Core 2,
6 GigByte RAM
CGMiner set up on 12.04 Kubuntu/Linux
with 2 GPU cards
Radeon 6770 -70 KHash/s
Radeon 6950 - 135 Hash/sPC.2.AMD Dual Core,
6 GigByte RAM
CGMiner set up in Windows7
Radeon 6970 - 200 KHashI’ve also got out 2 normal PCs doing a bit of CPU of 120 KHash/s making 450 - 500 KHash/s. I’ve got the Hall effect power meter from BGAS set up on the PC motherboard, so I am vastly subsidising the network start-up at 1 KWattHour power usage.
I’ve blown up 2 power supplies before I’d accustomed myself to operating the Graphics cards at the right Intensity, so now use a separate power supply on the Dual card system to ease the strain on the main one, and try not to turn up the 6970, which is tempting but potentially incendiary!
The picture was taken as I added the Radeon 6970 to the Windows machine and moved the 6770 to the Dual card Linux system. You can check out my stats at p2pool.org / Feathercoin - 6i1BPXDBesnP9DdT5poyct87eHrFWFstAb - where I’ve done most of my mining.

I guess I would technically be a casual miner since I use my rig for gaming as well. That said, I leave it up overnight to mine and usually whenever I’m at work or doing other things not involving the computer.

Hands down the best way I’ve seen to reduce heat is using this aftermarket GPU cooler http://www.arctic.ac/en/p/detail/index/sArticle/502/sCategory/2182. It’s a little pricey, but it’s practically silent. And at load, my GPU temp barely goes above 50C (you can see the temp in my previous post). I will caution you though, it’s a pain to install and took me a little over 2 hours.

My rig is quite simple. I wanted to try mining, but i didn’t want to spend much on it. So I bought mainly used parts. It cost me about 400 USD and gives 650 khash/s. Here is what I’ve got:
MB: MSI 945GT Speedster
RAM: 2GB
CPU: Some kind of Intel Duo @ GHz
PSU: Fortron FSP700-50ARN 700W
GPU1: VTX Radeon 6950 – 400 khs
GPU2: VTX Radeon 6850 – 250 khsRig is headless :) and has no HDD. It is running OS from USB stic. At first it was using BAMT, but I switched to SMOS Linux recently (it’s just better). Also because of the MB I had to use PCI-E riser x4 to x16 cable. And of course the rig is running 24/7 :)

I have 2 GPUs: Radeon 6950 and 6850. Hash rates are 400 and 250 khash/s. All my settings are stored in cgminer.conf file. So here it is: (the first value is for 6950 and the second is for 6850)
