We need to take drastic measures

We need to take drastic measures, Avoid price collapse. Last month, Down 200% ,Too cruel :(.
How to save the FTC ?
- Substantial increase in difficulty.
- Establish a fund,Large-scale acquisitions from the market.
- Contact with the exchange , Limit sell.
We need to give investors confidence. Do you have any ideas ?

If you look at btc-e you see that its not just FTC that is “decreasing in value”.
The BTC train has made an inpact on all the alt coins, everyone of them has sunk in “btc” value, since btc is higher priced atm. -
I need a strong heart .

Bitcoin is up, so ftc value in btc is down, that’s all.
In the last 2 month
- Bitcoin is up 50%
- FTC is down 90%
BTC is not a valid explanation for the FTC plunge. It’s because FTC is - essentially - useless.
Alt coins are disproportionally down compared to BTC’s rise because people are chasing the rise in BTC price, hoping that it will continue to increase. When the BTC price stabilizes the price of FTC should settle pretty close to where it was before.

Glad I could help ;)Me being provocative is just part of my personality. I am actually a huge supporter of Feathercoin.
I was up until 5am this morning signing up more merchants and talking to new people who had questions on the #Bitcoin hashtag on twitter.
This kind of fear projection often says more about the author than it does about the person it’s aimed at. To be honest the best way I could respond to this is just to keep working, you’re either part of the problem or the solution.

ok everyone listen, BTC may go to 1k$ but we have to keep FTC above 1cent USD!
let it drop right now
and be prepared to go all in at 1cent/FTC
:P

FTC’s function is clear, monies for all the FTC users!
we have a market place, but it needs to be developed
we need to offer all amazon products for FTC
its still very early in development and you have to understand that open-source projects sometimes fall behind
but i’m confident that we can grow a good peaceful community here and create something fun and useful
-
You can’t just put all the amazon products on the market, not without someone actually backing it and willing to buy the product for you -> accept FTC and then send it to your or something.
its not that hard to take orders and have them shipped
I might do it
i’ll put a healthy markup to make it worth my while. but at least we can say you can buy anything with FTC

Yeah its still very early. Speaking of ideas, I still stand by my old idea of having a simplified FTC to giftcard exchange. A market with a simplified layout that only offers digital (email) giftcards to nearly everywhere. You click on the graphic of whatever card you want and it matches you to a person selling that card. Then the coins go through escrow until you get your card via email. Or, if you want to buy some FTC, you offer a giftcard for sale. That would break the barrier of having to go through exchanges to buy and sell FTC. When I explain crypto currencies to people, it seems that dealing with online exchanges is always the biggest hurdle to getting started.eddit: because giftcards are bought via creditcard or paypal. you can essentially buy FTC via credit card and paypal with a gift card intermediary.
Second eddit: you dont actually have to own the card your are selling until you get an order. because most major retailers sell email giftcard codes you wait till you get an order and the coins are in escrow and then you buy the card online and its emailed directly to the escrow which makes the switch.
THIS!
This would be a great way to make it easy to get into FTC, especially in countries like the UK where it is extremely difficult to buy FTC with fiat.
Someone could just buy up a load of Gift Cards and sell them on the market place, I would be happy to help promote. Also accumulating Feathercoins right now would be quite an investment in the long run so anyone with the courage to take that position could step up right now?

I have thought about setting something like this up as well selling FTC via PayPal etc. The main issue I have found to setting this up is the fact that the customer can claim that the coins were never received and the payment processor e.g. PayPal have adopted a stance to take the customers side and the money is refunded. its not so easy to do with the coins as the transaction is a one way street so the seller loses out.
Im sure there is way around this. bitilicious for instance asks you to do a bank transfer into their account and (manually?) send the coins to you or at least make them available to your online version of a wallet on there site which can be moved out into your own wallet. Or local bitcoin seem to take the view that you need to find someone personally and transfer the coins to them for cash in hand or bank transfer or pingit.
I think there must be a better way to do this which keeps the customer and the seller safe but makes it very simple to buy coins for cash.

Geez, let it rest guys, please don’t hype things any more than previously has been done. The real value of FTC is just showing, and it’s according to my personal viewpoint go down even further. Either you see this as an investment and accept that you may lose money or stay out of it and join later. FTC is after all only 6 months old, don’t expect a rocket-ship just yet.
Thank-you.

Feather’s long term price will be determined (in my opinion) by these 3 elements:
- Community / Marketing
- Utility
- Innovation
#1 - Feather is a leader
#2 - Ideas such as the gift cards (I’ve brought up a similar idea in the past) allowing people to spend their coins is a great step. Without a Bitinstant, ALL alts will have difficulty in this department
#3 - Would love to see Feather really pull away from the Litecoin shadow

Ah right I like that idea. Essentially your just sending a giftcard containing a password to an account/funds held with an escrow. That’s really nifty.
