Unfortunately 4 topics did not have enough entries, so the prize money of these categories will be spend on another future project!
So submissions in those categories don’t count at all?
Anyway, at least it was fun doing them especially the jingles. :P -
I did my best to outline it in the rules. I learned quite a few lessons here, avoid these type of contests in the future. :) I appreciate the submissions. As always, I’ll redirect more coins to the community… I always do.

So two of my entries don’t count because other people couldn’t be bothered to put the effort in? :( For music and articles, we got 3 entrents. Couldnt you create a fourth entrant with 10 tickets called ‘Future Projects’ with maximum possible tickets for that catagory? Then at least we would have a chance.
Unfortunatly not, these rules were created before the contest started. You are listed in the other categories however, so good luck there!

Take a peek around the board, I’m immediately giving away:
500+ ftc messageboard giveaway
250 ftc irc giveaway
500 ftc facebook giveaway
300 ftc irc giveaway
1000+ Worldcoin giveaway
1000+ Phenix giveawayIn my heart, I felt I’ve offered up a fair deal to everyone. This will most likely be the last contest of this nature, thanks to all that participated.

It is sort of annoying, that if someone worked on an entry that was harder then the rest he gets no credit for it, but if someone spends 2 seconds on a bad joke they have a shot.
When Virgin Galactic won the Ansari Xprize they didn’t have to hope others would also attempt maned space flight. They just had to get the job done.
The $1000 number was easy to find, but you worked hard to bury this rule that saved you having to pay out.
You do realize I’m just some guy that took this out of his pocket to help. It’s comments like this that will prevent me from EVER putting up this type of money again.
Unbelievable
I give… if everyone can run it better, put up your own money.
Besides this contest:
- I’ve given away thousands of coins in giveaways
- I’ve given away thousands in random ‘here you go’ posts
- I paid 5 BTC to help with the hard fork
- I gave away more coins during an impromptu IRC contest
- I’m giving away 500 more for an Facebook contest, 350 more for an twitter contest
I understand I won’t please everyone, but hopefully the majority felt like it was worth your time. These contests don’t benefit me directly, it was to draw attention to our coin, to help attract new people.
I won’t be holding any additional contests in the near future, I look forward to each of you coming up ones on your own.

John,
We do appreciate the phenomenal amount of work you’ve put in and the amount of coins you’ve donated out of your own pocket.
To everyone else, the rules were posted before the contest and as John has explained, he tried to make them as fair as possible.
The entries added had a primary goal of adding value to Feathercoin, the contest was a nice bonus, but the entries created for the contest were not wasted effort, even if they did not win or were somehow ineligible.
John has done an amazing job in pushing this community along, using many tools to do so, including contests. Are they all perfect? No, but he is definitely a giver rather than a passive taker and should be given respect and kudos for what he has done. If anybody feels they have a better method for running contests, we’d love you to step forward and organise a contest on the Feathercoin Forums.
Regards,
Stefan -
Are you serious? If he didn’t want to pay, he wouldn’t organize the contest in the first place. And don’t forget the giveaways. The guy is a giveaway machine. :P

I often wonder where you find the time/energy/stamina to keep up this pace you’ve set for yourself - you’re a machine!

The amount of effort and time that John spent on the Feathercoin community is nothing short of extraordinary.

And on this positive note I think we can finish this discussion.
Let’s all direct our energies at the next stage of this journey and put our efforts into driving adoption and value of the Feather.
A sincere thank you to all who took part in this contest, and to John and Clearcrystal15 and all others who worked on it, and if you feel you would like to create your own contest in the future, we’d really like to hear from you.
