My idea here isn’t to describe the attack and consequences from it. My idea was to start thinking how to protect the end user from scenario like this one. One solution ( I can say painless ) is to add feature to the wallet that will recommend to the end user what transaction fee need to be paid in order to complete the transaction in some time frame. Another solutions require architecture change and I don’t think is possible to be done in the near future :)

No, it has no relation with MtGox but have relation due to “issue” of malleable transactions and it’s possible impact on services that operate with 0 confirmations transactions that use incoming transaction id as identification of the payment or play round. I had that issue in my code and fix it. Press release of MtGox and all the responses from bitcoin dev. community just give all of us valuable lesson about implementation of bitcoin protocol based payment systems :)

In fact, I’m not really interested in creation of a direct competitor to Altcoin Dice as I’m very pleased with our partnership. On the other hand, there are many kinds of online games which can be developed with crypto. Many good projects got started by pure enthusiasm and turned into big businesses later. Crypto is no exception.

You needn’t run a gambling site if you don’t want to or if it’s illegal where you live. We have a team to manage this. We also have a development forum where we discuss project internals. Of course, if you’re lazy enough not to sign up for a forum account, there is nothing I can do :)

Update: added mechanism to check if dice script is fair e.g. it’s really 50% probability.
After successful bets everyone will be able to repeat the results.

Everything is calculated, only left is little color theory for the best results and appropriate materials to print on ( best for use and quite cheap so everyone could use it ). Goal is to defeat the hardware/software wallets and to make it possible to have your funds into your real wallet and when needed to pay with your phone with best security in mind and receive funds without being afraid for your private key.

At the moment I’m on stage where project could be used for paper wallet used for backup and I’m on 70% to make it for everyday use :)

When have a time I’ll keep adding extra features. Right now thinking of two projects - lite version ( current price ) and db version ( with history in it and more graphics ).

I know google app engine now supports php, so def. creating widget that will run on the client side ( browser ) and not waste blog/site resources or require server side installation will be win. :)
