i there a list of available pools or is http://p2pool.neoscrypt.de/ the only source?
That is a good source of pools but I think there are other pools not listed. Im not sure there is another list though.

Mexicat seems up?

none of the pools listed on the site had a block for 16 hours
here it says feathercoin is offline what does that mean
https://bchain.info/coins/ -
@shadow1117 It’s not a block, Wellenreiter has had that site going for a while and feathercoind has gone down, for some reason, maybe disk space. I have messaged him to check the site.

The time it takes p2pool to find a block is dependent on chance (block difficulty) and the number of miners. If p2pool is 20% of the total mining hash, it will find 20% of the blocks.
You will be accumulating shares in those blocks all the time you mine p2ool.
You won’t accumulate shares if the pool is down. It most likely your loss of shares was due to the (known fault) of the pool site being down and not switching to a backup pool.

If the backup pool node is in the same p2pool cloud the shares are not lost, but taken over by the other p2pool node.

@shadow1117 I think the owners on Hols. But, it looks like you lost connection, but have reconnected now?

@shadow1117
Your pool seems to work fine again. but the orphaned rate seems to be high and the efficienty low.
This can be casaused by the p2pool server not available for a while or shortly after a restart.
If the efficiency does not go up after some hours of normal work and orphaned rate goes down, something is strange.Questions ( I assume you use wellenreiter01/p2pool-neoscrypt):
- are you using the master branch version or the ‘adaptive’ branch?
- I see only on client mining, is this client on the same LAN or connecting over a WAN?
- if the 2nd is the case, what is the ping time from worker to p2pool server?
-
I own neither if the pools
I mined on one of them and switched to the other this morning… both seem to work fine now… I may open my own and play a bit with the source code

So are you saying you cant mine on http://p2pool.neoscrypt.de/ ?

You don’t need a server to run a p2pool node, it can be on you own miner PC or on the Lan.
-
@AcidD yes but seems to work again I havnt tested just seen this morning that there seemed to be a problem so I switched the pool

p2pool.neoscrypt.de had disk space problems today, so the pool didn’t work as espected. I assume your worker has a backup pool configured and switched to that.
p2pool.neoscrypt.de is working fine again, and the problem is solved
