With the massive buy support at 0,00036 a move is bound to happen one way or another. I do not think a breakdown is very likely, but if the buy wall fails we could very well hit 0,00030 real quick. The other way whom is the more plausible way would have us see a very quick move towards 0,00060. Break that and we could have a very very funny rally.
Picked up 3000 FTC yesterday and thinking of picking up more today.

Look at the volume of FTC and then look at the first buy order. It is for 244 BTC. Its been there for a while now. If this is a real buy order that means that this man plans to basically buy half a million FTC essentially clearing the exchange of any FTC volume. 5 FTC says that half the buy orders are fake. Another 5 FTC says that this order will not go through. Send me your wallet address if you want to take part in this small bet with me.
This buywall is definitly real. I’ve watched the progress and its eating the sells, and stays like a “wall”.

It was well over 300BTC at one point and it’s slowly shrinking as it takes the sells, Is that one buyer or a total of all the buy orders at that price? It’s a lot of BTC. Someone somewhere is confident at any rate. Are they gambling or do they know something, mmmm
Yeah it was actually 392 at its highest, now down to around 245ish. I have a few BTC buys in at .00036 even so been watching it.
I do believe when that wall clears we’ll actually go up, not down. That will leave just about 200+BTC buy orders but almost 2000 BTC in sell orders open at much higher levels.
At its current rate of change I’d guess this will happen tomorrow sometime or maybe Thursday.

I’ve been mining feathercoin through much harder times than these. There was a time when feathercoin was stable at 10 cents and then fell to under 5 cents. Now at around 25-30 cents its still worth much more than that. Motherload1, I like your enthusiasm about gaining more recognition for feathercoin but I do not think that is the answer to increase its value. Simply put, the only thing that will raise the market value of feathercoin is more demand for feathercoin. This will only happen with greater adoption as a currency. Right now it doesnt matter how fancy feathercoin looks if there isnt any use for it. I would recommend putting a big emphasis on merchant adoption. To do this we may also need to raise money and pay people to code apps that make it easier to accept feathercoin as a merchant. The best thing we can do would be to convince merchants to accept feathercoin and provide the tools for them to do so. In fact, this is the only thing that will keep feathercoin alive in the long term. All other publicity is just hot air temporarily pumping up a coin that has no big advantages over most of the other alts.
I appreciate the kind words. I have been mining FTC since it launched. I follow your though process completely and it is one I am hoping the community works towards. Merchant adoption can only take place if there is interest in the community first. Merchants have to see FTC as a viable option. And based on the volatility of our coin we are not worth the risk for them. That is why I propose the awareness campaign. We go up a few cents but we always fall a lot more and this poses as a serious risk.
That being said, I would really appreciate if the admins took the time to organize something. I am ready to offer what support I can and bring with me whatever support my subreddit can offer.

Hi everyone,
I’ve been following the Feathercoin community on the forums for a while now and have been mining FTC since the end of last year and I have to say I agree with a lot of the recent posts regarding the current state of the currency. To this end I’ve got a couple of points I’d like to make:
1. The signup process for this forum is a bit convoluted. It took me 5 attempts to work out what the captcha said before I could register (the audio didn’t work either) and then I spent even more time figuring out that I needed to post in the newbie section before I could reply to this current thread. I think the registration process and posting guidelines for newcomers should be made easier and more user friendly. The easier it is to signup the more people will join.
2. The main FTC website needs an overhaul and needs to appeal to a wider market. That’s not to say the current web site is bad. There has obviously been plenty of work put into it and I appreciate there are already efforts underway to update it, but I think the redesign needs to be less tech focused and aimed more at the masses, with the FTC brand message being simple and understandable by the majority. If you want mass market adoption you need simple messaging that people understand. Ask yourself the question… what is Feathercoin? Why should I use it? What differentiates it from the other currencies?
3. What can be done to increase awareness of FTC? Does it need a media/PR stunt like the recent Jamaican bosbled team financing to make it more ‘digestible’ to the masses? How can we make FTC the crypto currency with mass appeal? Despite all the media hype around Bitcoin it is still a mystery to the average man on the street.
Anyway… sorry for if this seems like a rant… it’s not intended to be. I’d just really like to see FTC succeed and I think it needs a little bit of a shake up!
alles gut!

Hi all, I am not a crypto specialist, a programmer or a trader. I think I represent the average person in the group of late adopters of cryptocurrency. Most of these people don’t look at the technical specifications etc. of a coin. They mainly look at the popularity / positive news about the coin and the market value. Just like iPod is not necessarily the best mp3-player, but it is the best marketed and most popular. So I agree that there should be a good marketing campaign. Otherwise I am afraid that we will be left behind by other newer coins. As I already said, I am in for the $10 per person campaign. Also I mentioned earlier, an article on Coindesk or Cryptocoinsnews, a fundraising campaign…

Told you it was fake. Been sitting like that for an hour. By now it would have been confirmed. The order meets both volume and price.

It’s 14 BTC lower than your last pic so it seem to be still eating the sells and it will only do so as FTC becomes available at 00036, so unless someone put a sell order of of 635,000 FTC at 00036 right now the wall isn’t going anywhere quickly. If someone sells 1 BTC worth of FTC at 00036 right now it will sell into that wall and reduce it by 1 BTC.
So goes my understanding if it at any rate.
