There are at least a few of us that I know of and surely plenty more here in Chicago USA - there are some altcoin meet ups here in the area hoping to attend more often to keep representing FTC well at :-)

I hope we can get FTC to stand out and flourish somehow to avoid depreciating further and/or dying off.

Overall I think everyone is catching on to the 2nd or 3rd or “next gen” of crypto out there. FTC is considered by many as a copy due to fork, slow still, not pool or resistance to future asics, antiquated in crypto terms maybe. The next few months may be a true test as FTC may collapse to some all time lows but it will either recovery (which I’m sure everyone wants) or not. :-/

The market cap of FTC isn’t that great of a loss if moves to others…

Hmmm, it is a coin with a lot of support. Technically the coin/code itself isn’t superior or that great (subjective) honestly - their are coins with faster confirms that make them more feasible for actual daily use which is important, others with more value/adoption where speed isn’t necessary, and others with better types of cryptographic hash functions to protect mining, etc.

Love FTC, the “community”, but haven’t observed any acceptance of negatives ever in these forums usually.

Well, Mac is clean after multiple scans and wallets are now encrypted, my very dumb mistake. I believe I had an unknown replication of my wallet data file backups back themselves up to my Dropbox account while I was copying some other work files also :-( Had to be it.

So the address below is where the their sent my 11721 FTC coins. There is no way to get these back?

Kinda stinks that in crypto if this is the case, there is no way to reverse a transaction or remove it from block chain if it is truly criminal activity - maybe that is one pro of banks!

So, going forward, advice to encrypt of course but should I go ahead and delete current clients and wallet files and create new wallets with new keys and encrypt?

So would this most likely have been 1) someone that learned of my IP from post on this site for example, or 2) someone who would have got my IP/address (address doesn’t make sense) from BTCE for example? I’m still dumbfounded how someone pulled this off!

Not sure I follow. I am part of a pool but this was a transaction today at 4AM my time that transferred OUT of my wallet for the 11721 FTC - not sure how someone could initiate a transfer from my wallet on computer sitting here at home in our network. :-(

This has me really down on the whole crypto-FTC thing - not sure I’ll keep up mining anymore or even buy more. Suck!
