RE: [ANN] Everything Points Towards Success - Feathercoin Weekly News #21
Hey guys, a bit of thank you’s are in order
I want to thank Bushstar for funding this operation. Without him we would not have a place at Coinfest. Chris did an amazing job with the live stream. It was short notice but he stayed up late just to make it possible. Thank you for that Chris. Thanks to Ruthie for getting me in touch with David (lizardman) and providing me with all the support she could and the logos for FTC ( cant forget those). And fryputt I have not forgotten you. Fryputt donated 30 FTC for handing out to people. Because of him we were able to give out FTC to more people and in bigger numbers. Netnerd, regardless of what happened to the coins, its the gesture that counts. I appreciate you and uncle_muddy going out of your way to send me those coins. Thank you so much for that. Also Mharrison, thankyou for updating the feathertipper website in the short amount of time you had. I still have that 10 FTC up for grabs. Once you have that shark with laser eyes and machine guns, victory is ours.
Finally a big thank you to the entire community for supporting Coinfest in your own way. I have said it before and I will say it again. " A coin is worth nothing without its community"
I hope to be involved in more activities like this and I will do all I can from my end to get FTC where it needs to be.
Regards

RE: [ANN] Change Before You Have To Pt 1 - Feathercoin Weekly News #19
Excellent write up. Just a side note. The 200 dollars need to be raised in a coin of our choice as Coinfest does not take fiat at all. I say we raise 200 dollar worth of FTC. This will get us promotion space at Coinfest, our logos printed on all merchandise and banners and also promotion through social media. Coinfest will also be officially including FTC in their organization.
The only problem is we have about 2 days from today before everything goes to print. So if we are going to do this then we need to move fast. I am sure Chris can setup a donation wallet that will accept your most gracious offerings. If any one has any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to ask me.

RE: It's so difficult to get Feathercoins

Now I would have no idea how to create it at all, but…Why don’t we just start a serious FTC/USD/EUR/??? Exchange ourselves? We probably have quite a few Feathers on here to invest ourselves, and we could actually provide Featherminers with a nice marketplace to sell their abundant FTC!
I am not sure due to maybe technical/legal limitations but I actually think we could pull this off if some people would be willing to create it in some way… Screw BTC-e, lets start our own exchange!
EDIT: and integrate it smoothly in the new website! :D
[/quote]Hey you should consider checking out the Reddit feather coin exchange. You can buy or sell FTC for almost anything you desire and all purchases are monitored by a bot. We are officially launching on Monday. Join us on

RE: A Project Manager
You know what,
I will leave it up-to you guys to decide how you want to proceed. Consider all that I have said irrelevant. Also I will not be taking part in this anymore. I don’t think I have enough to contribute to FTC. Good luck to you all and I hope FTC earns a rightful place in the world of Crypto.

RE: A Project Manager
Hey guys,
So I have been through all the respones in this thread and I notice that some of you are upset and some of you are looking forward to this. The thing is we have tried to organize a team before but it hasnt panned out. We are in need of immediate action, we cannot afford to wait around and discuss the semantics of the situation we are in. The reason why I elected Chris was not because he offered help but because I have talked about this for so long and I have received positive responses but no volunteers. I elected not to wait around and just start the process. In any case this is temporary and any of you who wish to offer chris help or work in tandem with him, can do so by simply sending him a message. The goal is to improve FTC from its current state and explore all other opportunities we have. This will ensure that we are on top of our game, our workload is divided efficiently and our tasks are getting completed on time. In the grand scheme of things we are but one coin among many, our goal is to be able to distinguish ourselves in a way that attracts people towards us. The only way we can do that is by showing poeple how innovative we are and what we can offer.
I look forward to all of you calming down and just taking some time to work on FTC. We put in a few good weeks of work and we will be able to work wonders. So lets all of us put the hostility and blaming aside and work for whats really important to all of us.
Regards,

RE: A Project Manager
I whole-heartedly support this. Motherlode - why not you?
I wish I had more time to commit. Sorry guys - it’s been insane on my end.
Apparently starting a business isn’t all that easy. :)
But I do support it. Chris and I were the ones who came up with the idea

A Project Manager
I was having a conversation with Chris earlier and we were working on ideas on how to get some of our projects of the ground and get them the development help they need. After a lengthy but interesting conversation, we have come to the realization that we need a project manager.
What is a project manager?
A project manager is a person who will lead a team of developers and ensure that they work on tasks effectively
How will the project manager really handle things?
A project manager will ensure that whatever task is given priority based on community feedback, will get completed on time. The project manager will also ensure that people working on tasks are actually putting in the work and are completing goals on time. A project manager can, if he chooses, kick people from the development team if they fail to meet certain deadlines.
What else will the project manager do?
A project manager will ensure that everything is in sync. For instance, lets say a certain project is complete, the project manager will then inform the pr team to start pushing it out to relevant websites or blogs thus ensuring that the project gets visibility. A project manager will also be responsible for providing updates on whatever task is being worked on, including the due date or requests for help or ideas.
Will the project manager be compensated for his time and effort?
Yes a project manager will be compensated for his time and effort through donations and so will the development team. At the end of the day this will be a community effort regardless of whether you are in the team or not. You can provide your support by donating FTC or any form of help you can muster.
Who is the project manager for now?
As of this moment Chris is the project manager and I have donated 150 FTC to him as a gesture of good faith. Chris has more than willingly offered his help to ensure that we work and complete our tasks. Chris will be handling the trello page and will keep the community updated.
I urge you all to take some time and think about what you want from FTC and what you want it to become, if you have a genuine interest in FTC and want to see it stand out from other coins or whatever you have in mind, then please speak up and let us know. If you have some FTC that you can spare, then please donate them to Chris (not right now, we will setup a donation page). Chris will use these funds to compensate for his time and share them with the developers. This will ensure that people who actually put in the work are getting compensated for their time and effort.
Again, Donation accounts will be setup for this endeavor in due course. If you are a developer and your services are for hire, then please approach us and we will try our best to offer you what we can to compensate you for your work and time. You can work for free if you like.
Forgive my grammar and spelling, its 6 in the morning.

RE: Scam emails from darkhack.com
I get these on a daily basis. No idea where they are coming from. I am still wondering how they got hold of my email id. Guessing it was during the time the site was compromised.

RE: Introducing CoinsManager
I see. Well, if you do not need to manage your assets, then this application is not for you :)
I invested in a lot of different coins, and I needed a good way to manage all this, and see how much I gained/lost from my initial investment. Lot of people are loosing a lot of time manually updating spreadsheets, and the other online portfolios I could find weren’t fully automatized (eg you have to add your coin balance, or even all transactions details), so I decided to go and build my own application that does what I need. I’m my first user, if you want :)
The application is for people who:
- Have a lot of different addresses, in one or different wallets
- have a lot of coins from different cryptocurrencies (different wallets)
- Need a way to see at a single glance how much all those coins in all those addresses are worth.
And as said before, more features will be integrated later, feel free to vote/comment on Trello!
I follow you very clearly now. I am now looking at all the coins you have and comparing them to mine. I might get on this., it sounds more and more interesting to me now.

RE: Introducing CoinsManager
I think you posted this on reddit too. I read the press release. My question is why have a software that tells me the value of my assets. I mean what is it that sets it apart.

RE: Introducing CoinsManager
How secure is my wallet address on your website. Besides getting me a price quote, what other purpose does it serve?. Will it have more features added? Do you like cookies?
