Teach a new guy how to mine with a single laptop

For CPU miner this is my start line for linux

Its p2pool which means you don’t have to regester or nothing, you just start making (world wide) p2pool shares and get a % payout based on that if any p2pool member wins (on any p2pool site), great graphics and stats, you can check your rigs from any web page, and that is sweeet. Find your closest pool eventually there will be more.
set up a bat file to start it.

You can try cpu miner. I’ve been mining the resurrected Chinacoin, whilst the difficulty is low, with cpu mining!
That’s because when I was a newbie Chinacoin was attacked out of existence, I lost a lot of power and couldn’t trade in my (mergre) coin stash… The revived chinacoin is now using ACP to stop attacks. The difficulty is about 6.
You can switch over to Feathercoin when you set up your Rig. Feathercoin is still great to mine with GPU, for the moment. Good luck it’s a steep learning curve, but worth it.

Bad idea mining with laptops. Mine set on fire once just from torrenting. It’s not even worth it if you’re just gonna use an out of the box PC. Either invest in a suitable rig, or mining probably isn’t gonna be worth it for you. It’s hella cheap to buy right now, so just invest that way.

[/quote]The only thing wat isnt funny at all is that he is asking how to mine with his laptop. There are plenty of guides in our Mining-Section. Its that easy to find them, he could use google as additional help. If he is too lazy, he shouldnt even start mining,he should go for trading -> Buying/Selling
If he got any detailed issues, he could post his config and problem and we can help him. His post is just lazy as shit sorry. Iam glad to help people who are trying, but he isnt even trying at all…

FYI, the same image shouldn’t cost any more bandwidth if you have a decent browser. It’ll just reuse the downloaded/cached data.
