I just came back from my night mountain trip which was fabulous!
To set the scene ill explain.Wanna tell a story:
Today i went on a night mountain trip with an Led Lenser headlight and perfect clothing (GoreTex cover jacket with wool inner wear, special pants that is not waterproof but breath and keeps you dry, the water doesn’t stick.) The weather was a mix of wind/rain-snow, it was pitch black and i had just reached the top when my Bose MIE2i earplugs connected to my iPhone started this song from the playlist: Concerning hobbits - Lord of the rings soundtrack. This combination of complete “silence”, windy weather, spectacular view and that song was just perfect!Lets just say that its a long time since i have found such piece of mind. It was just the perfect trip, with the perfect song to just reach the top with, thanks franfj!
Anyway, i need more of these kind of symphony songs (also in the range of celtic type).
I also feel the list miss some “pop-techno-90´s-songs”
So to sum things up.
This time I’m requesting “pop-techno” and more celtic/symphony music!
Im limiting each suggestion to just containing max 5 suggestion so i don’t get to large of a list=)
To explain what i mean with pop-techno-trance-dance-asid-stuff heres a couple of examples:
DJ Broiler - Powerbeat
DJ Broiler - How I Wet Your Mother.avi (RUSS 2011(norwegian celebration of finished school=P))
Krewella - Play Hard HQ - Available Now on Beatport.com
Bomfunk MC’s - Freestyler
Pulsedriver - The Whistle Song (Solar Patrol Remix)
666 - Super Duper Fly -
Nero - Promises Nero - Promises is similar poppy dubtep to Krewella:
The album is solid IMO
I remember going on holiday as a kid and listening to the Bomfunk Mcs album constantly.

For pop/celtic stuff, you really can’t go wrong with the Afro-Celt Sound System. Just about everything they put out is pretty fantastic.
Afro Celt Sound System - Persistence of Memory
For dubstep sickness: Nero, Krewella, Modestep, Gemini, Rusko, Flux Pavillion.
Modestep will blow your frickin mind every time:
Modestep - Sunlight (Official Video)
I saw Krewella at the Exchange in LA, they were off the hook.
Krewella - Get Wet (Full Album)
Gemini is a frickin hero.
Gemini - Graduation (Official Video)
And Flux Pavillion makes dirty look fun:

For something slightly different, there’s Draper, who does something called Liquidstep, which borrows it’s influences from dubstep, but mixes in more pop sounds. He’s AMAZING:

Strange Talk - Eskimo Boy (Draper Remix) [OFFICIAL]
And or something REALLY different, there’s IDM artist Mux Mool. He’ll blow your mind every time with some of his stuff.

Feist - My Moon, My Man
Feist - My Moon My Man -
For the Celtic stuff:
Clannad: Ancient Forest
Enya: Deireadh An TuathAlso good “classical” walking music, though not celtic
Sunwheel Orchestra: Conquest of Paradise
Chronicles of Narnia Soundtrackand a cheesy 80’s synth classic
Europe: The Final Countdown -
If I could recommend one song it would be this
“Kung Fu Piano: Cello Ascends” by ThePianoGuys
http://youtu.be/NCaH-qqTWpk
I suppose you could say it has elements of Celtic, Oriental, Orchestral / classical. It’s a slow but powerful track.
