::) It was nice to hear something from Franco. I hope there will be another show soon - with other alt coins (would like to hear Ghostlander, Gridcoin, Quark…).
Id really like to practice more. Id also like to see other reps get in that seat. Its very intimidating to go from being behind a screen coding to knowing people are watching you live give answers on the spot.
But you quickly got into the swing, the more you do it, the more it will seem like second nature to you, there is no way in hell I’d take the spotlight like that, so hats off to you Franko. ;)
Glad to be here. Ive been a FTC fan since day one and it was one of my original inspirations to make FRK. The FTC community is very welcoming and thats what I like most.

+1 rep -
Hey Franko, welcome here :) It’s not easy being in front of a camera but good on you for going for it.
-
That’s pretty cool Chris, very professional.

Funny you say that. I was pretty nervous ;) I had made a ton of notes and felt really prepared and then that all sort of went right out the window as soon as that show went live.
Hi Chris Franko!
I actually thought you did brilliant on MadCoins. I really appreciated your contribution and hear what you are trying to achieve. Chrisj is doing PR full time at Feathercoins, as a crypto developer you must be already run off your feet.
I know members of Feathercoin forum have gone out of their way to support other coins network in the past and completely acknowledge our debt to Litecoin and the Bitcoin protocol. (Bows down - “We are not worthy!”)
There is obviously a need for more than one coin.
Your example of the high difficulty mathematically engendering a high price but psychologically discouraging miners was extremely pertinent and interesting.
There have been heated discussions in the past , I have argued for a very small proportional transaction fee, I also noted it would attract miners, and cure dust payment attacks. (The value increase will prevent those anyway).
The disadvantage was the traders didn’t want a cut of their profits going to the miners or some such.
In the end that discussion was too early in adoption to be a sensible thing to implement then with myriad other project ideas to also do. Mining was still viable on Litecoin and easier to trade then, so it was difficult Feathercoin, a competing coin to gain miners.
So the Feathercoin development team had to take other measures to secure the network and prevent being unfair to loyal miners. I agreed as I argued that the measures could be relaxed now (or when) the mining hash rate increases above the level of any potential attack.
We also instituted more guides and support for miners on the forum to encourage miners to mine Feathercoin.
Mode of Failure: Large Multipool Pool switchers punishing loyal Feathercoin miners on difficulty decrease.
Now there are more miners being attracted, it may be worth considering proportional fees again. As you rightly observed dispersed hash rate is the best way to secure the network.

Ok, here is one constructive criticism: poor lightning of Christopher’s face, the nose shadow was annoying ;)
I mean our FTC Chris :) -
Seen about 20 min so far, seems litecoin brought their A-team on this one…
Yeahhhhhh… the photographer in me was having a shit-fit watching the poor framing of Chris’s face. I kept on wanting to shout, “TAKE TWO STEPS BACK!” but it never happened. It’s ok. Chris did a fantastic job of representing us, and we are all very fortunate to have such an intelligent individual as the public face of the community.

feel feathercoin came up on top there!
nice work chris!

Very well spoken, Chris. The other two representatives seem unprepared and are not making a good PR face for their coin. Your representation lends a lot of confidence to FTC. You have solid, clear and carefully worded responses that show there is a real thought process behind this. Bravo, this is how to put forth a public face.
I wouldn’t worry about it, you came across aright. Even the most confident and articulate of people can go to bits during/doing talks etc. I remember in college during a slideshow presentation in my Business Studies class two people actually passed out giving their talks haha, so it could’ve gone worse for you :D. I’m sure you’ll gain confidence the more discussions you do.

Well, you can listen to my radio interview which took place just a week ago. Even though it was in the middle of night due to time difference, it was a good show.Special! Phoenix Coin! PXC

When I saw you resuscitating the coin, mining alone…I told myself: “Wtf is this madman doing :)”
Now I regret I was mining only week or two during resuscitation.
Keep working on your coin, if there is any coin determined for second life, it is [s]Phenix[/s] Phoenix ;) -

Thanks for your support, Mirrax. It wasn’t bad to mine alone or with a small company at D2’s pool back in October and November until small altcoins exploded. My 4MH/s have brought me over 500K PXC since the takeover and I haven’t sold a single coin of these. When Cryptsy lagged terribly yesterday and suspended trading of many coins including PXC, it was growing nicely to over 500K USD market capitalisation. There are many things to do still. The show must go on! :) -
That was Excellent I learned ALOT more about Feathercoin and the other Crypto Coins.

Hey at least you prepared and dressed professionally. The litecoin guy looked like he just woke up lol. -
It’s funny how Jerry has nothing to say except for the 4x faster transaction speed.
