Mark my words, this whole crypto currency thing will fail because of its nature that it doesnt have anything backing it up.
So, you’re saying cryptocurrency needs some people with guns and cages backing it up so that it has value (you know, like fiat)?
No matter how you want to deceive yourself, it is actually no different than FIAT money
Except there is no central authority printing up cryptocurrency out of thin air, you can mine it yourself, it’s deflationary and no one with a gun and a cage is “backing it” to give it “value”.

So I am putting my activities for this sector on hold for now…
I’ll give you 10 cents (via PayPal) for every worthless FTC you hold. Deal?

I was really into this whole FTC thing but after seeing lots of posts about irrelevant stuff, there isnt any post about an easy way of transacting and exchanging these coins for real money. Isnt it supposed to be the core of this whole crypto currency thing. I currency I can hardly buy and sell woah, what a big deal. I have money, I have will, yet I cant buy these goddamn coins. The only way to buy them is through some exchange site and retarded paypal fakes. No one even knows how you get paid for your coins if you want to sell them to the exchange. It all looks like a giant theather to me, or it is so low on popularity that almost no one actively trades it, therefore making the prices unrealistic.Mark my words, this whole crypto currency thing will fail because of its nature that it doesnt have anything backing it up. No matter how you want to deceive yourself, it is actually no different than FIAT money, yet this time, there isnt even a credible source or no intrinsic value at all! Let all the hype build up for these currencies that %99 only hold for investment and is hardly a currency that isnt used for any proper trading purposes, which you cant even properly sell or buy.
So as someone who even saw these days of Bitcoin in 2009-10 thinking it was a good investment idea, now I am saying that things got into a very ugly state that is nothing but over-speculation.
I wouldve really wanted to be able to actively trade these coins, buy them with ease and wait for them to reach their potential and harvest my investment but I can not even buy them let alone sell them. So I am putting my activities for this sector on hold for now…
You need to calm down and compose yourself. Are you really throwing your toys out of the pram after being here barely two days and not getting somebody to blindly sell you some coins via paypal? You state you are wary of scams, yet want people to send you coins for paypal yourself.
Coins are fairly easy to get. If you really wanted to get on board safely and quickly you can easily purchase coins off ebay but at a premium price. I can understand your apprehension about using exchanges but they’re not that difficult. People have offered you advice on how to do this in several threads. If you wanted further help all it would’ve taken was to PM a couple of users here and I’m sure they would’ve been glad to help out, but maybe cryptocurrencies are not for you. If cryptos are going to fail as you said, then you’ve saved yourself some money. Cryptos are backed by the people who use them, and as long as people are backing them they are of worth. There are people here and all around the world who value it and are willing to transact with it and this number is sure to grow exponentially. It seemingly had worth for you yesterday, but now you’ve gone off the idea in the space of a day.
You have also contradicted yourself several times in your above statement.

Furthermore, this is the early stages of cryptocurrency.
It’s still the early stages? I was just kicking myself for having missed the early stages. :P

It’s a shame you feel this way. I really can empathise.
Here in Australia we have it even tougher then the Americas and Europe.
We only have a few exchanges that only do btc and ltc at best. Not to mention that prices are higher due to the nature of our isolation.
But don’t get mad. Get productive. Be the change you want to see in the world.
I’ve emailed my local exchange and also made a forum post making the email public in the hopes they pull there finger out ahy.

lol america does not have it easy. Yes we have coinbase but getting money from some exchanges back to coinbase means your taking a huge percentage loss. The only way to get fiat out is through wiring because all the exchanges are scared of our screwed up red tape laws.
Anyway its not super hard though. We can help if you havent already made up your mind.

I’m in a similar boat. I’m in the US. I signed up with coinbase, mtgox and bitstamp, waiting for verification to be able to buy and sell.
But even then, there are some pretty strict restrictions like you can’t withdraw more than 1K a day, or 10K a month etc. Not that I have loads of coins, but I’m curious what people are doing who’s been early adopters and what to pull some significant cash out.
I looked into services like okpay, perfect money, interkassa and payeer, and some do not allow US or just plain crappy services. Buggy UIs, emailing passwords in plain text etc. etc. I’m a bit concerned about moving my money through them. “paypal fakes” was actually same impression I had, lol.
Aside from coinbase, what are some services that you trust? Also ones that allow moving and withdrawing reasonable amounts. (LiqPay for example goes up to 100USD if you don’t have an account in Ukrainian/Russian bank linked to it)
What’s the most efficient way to get USD into BTC-e? Or bitcoin deposit is pretty much what I’m left with?

Yes, we need more meets and local exchanges. That’s one reason we set up Local feathercoin in tools, to help get that going.
Also, there are local exchange web contact sites which can easily be emulated for Feathercoin. It is certainly an area easy progress can be made and you don’t have to be rocket scientist programmer to get involved.

Coinmkt.com is a Beta, but FTC is set up, withdrawals in USD as well.
