FTC price dropping will mean we ultimately get cheaper coins from the hit and run miners.
But don’t expect that to be easy. There’s plenty of people here who will gladly buy the coins.

The generating time is set to 2.5 minutes, we’re slower than that so the generating time will decrease. It will keep going down until that is reached. We’re just not going to have the issues we had up until now.

And every altcoin will face these issues soon, at which point we will be ahead of all of them including litecoin. The GPU rush isn’t over. I also have this feeling the ASIC market will self destruct and be limping soon.

You can have multiple cards in one setup and they don’t even have to be the same card. You will see in your cgminer.conf file there will be settings in between " ". The settings will be separated by a comma. Card 0 will be the first variable before the comma and then card 1, card 2 etc.

IMHO this is something better implemented on the miner side. Slow miners+bad luck can trigger hundreds of emails, or you just not mining anymore for a bit.

If you trigger this on a pool_down message from your miner(s), it should be much more accurate.

I have used Verns pools exclusively since fcpool launched. Man has his reach grown since that time. never had any issues that weren’t quickly resolved however. And the community there is growing and often times entertaining… lol

BEWARE: the official FAQ says:

powerful GPUs, will usually not cope with constant usage leading to a high
risk of thermal damage. It is highly recommended not to mine on a MAC unless
it is to a USB device.

Looks great! There was a hardware issue 2 days ago which caused a longer outage of the server as i was on travel. As that is a brand new server i hope that is not a bad omen. Will continue to monitor and review the sytem…

I have to agree, the block count is steadily falling now, confirmations for transactions are gathering pace and the community is proving itself strong and pull their ‘weight’ perfectly!

I started hijacking a friends computer while he’s at school, so I’m getting another 175-200 KH/s each morning. :P

The quick answer is no. Entire HD3000 series lacks OpenCL support. Otherwise certain hardware limitations would result in rather miserable performance.

The long answer is yes. Although HD3000 as well as HD2000 and even X1900 series have no OpenCL support, they’re still able to perform general purpose calculations through Brook+ programming extension supported by 1.x ATI Stream SDKs. It’s possible to build a Brook+ kernel for a particular miner. Once again, potential performance obtained doesn’t justify electricity consumed.
