I think my math was off… I think it will take almost 40 gpus.

RE: Thinking about building another rig..
Note:1
Electricity cost in my area is 0.117 kWhI’m going to assume anywhere from 3k-5k kWh will be running 24x7 so 6-8 amps needed at the electrical connection.

Thinking about building another rig..
I know this may seem unrealistic, but what would it take to achieve a 1 GH/s GPU rig? I know the largest battle would be heat dissipation and power consumption, but will 15 Radeon rx 480’s reach that high? I’ve been out of the game awhile and was just wondering what cards are best bang for the buck right now.
I’m certainly going to be liquid cooling the GPU’s, so that is another cost factor. I’m thinking about building a large water tank above the rig and basically splice in to the water cooling lines to suck water from a larger reservoir. One of these could be made fairly cheap with glass such as a fish tank. Using only distilled water, having the cooler fan pumps draw from the tank where I could put ice in or just whatever.
This is all hypothetical, just brainstorming at the moment…

RE: Help retrieving coins
Is there a way to retrieve unspent FTC like you can with BTC?

RE: Help retrieving coins
@wrapper Yes, thank you wrapper. I viewed that before, but I just noticed the final date was in 2015. My last wallet.dat file I found was from 2014. I have some more digging to do.

RE: Help retrieving coins
What sucks is that it shows my balance, but can’t seem to locate the wallet. I think when the hard fork happened a few years ago, I pulled the coins and put them online because at that time, the online wallets were a new thing. Funny thing is that I used to mine from give-me-coins and my deposit address was 6jkohpNx6JTkib8eWEMVqqEDa7xWJALAbx. I’m hoping I can figure this out. I have email traffic from two different companies saying my coins were lost due to the fork. The companies were CoinMKT and I believe Bitstamp.

Help retrieving coins
Hello all, it’s been awhile, but I’m back. I wanted to reference an old post that I think I gave up on, but would like to see if anyone can help me out.
The old post is https://forum.feathercoin.com/topic/7574/ftc-wallet
Is there anyway to figure out if this address 6jkohpNx6JTkib8eWEMVqqEDa7xWJALAbx is connected to CoinMKT or if it was a desktop address? I was able to load my old wallet.dat files, but it shows that I moved the coins to that address.
Any help is appreciated.

RE: Is this the reason the bitcoin price is not exploding right now?
So, PTS mining is the way to go? I’m confused. What is the bottom line to all of this…?

RE: FTC's future
Really top 5? I agree with that also, but it seems as if the rest of the world doesn’t…

FTC's future
Ok guys and gals, I’m a little worried about my investment in FTC. With all these FTC pools shutting down, is this a warning sign? Need some input from you guys… Where is FTC headed?

RE: WEMINEFTC shutting down operations.
It isn’t time to bail is it?

RE: FTC Wallet
So, basically, old coins cannot be transferred to a new wallet. I have to wait until CoinMKT.com updates to neoscrypt then? Is my wallet fine to use?
I’m pretty sure I had old coins going to a new wallet. I got them on an exchange for BTC.
I bought FTC with BTC, so if I bought old coins from the exchange and sent them to a new wallet, I won’t get them until CoinMKT.com updates to neo or will I never receive them.
Thanks for the help.

RE: FTC Wallet
I did. They are basically saying they are looking in to it.
CoinMKT.com is the exchange. I will email them again and see what they say.
-
RE: FTC Wallet
So does this mean the coins that I transferred are goin?

RE: FTC Wallet
Ok guys, I’m having another issue. I recently made a withdraw from an exchange server I use when I got this new wallet and I never received it. I though it was due to the syncing, but after going back n forth with the company, they sent me where the coins went too and it is not my address.
BUT, the flip to this is, when you type in my FTC wallet address which is 6jkohpNx6JTkib8eWEMVqqEDa7xWJALAbx (current wallet) is brings up 796QgvgEoUvdY2GjXegpKxW1CdDSvp8SKu. How in the crap can this happen?
Thanks for all the support by the way.
Check it out…
https://bitinfocharts.com/feathercoin/address/6jkohpNx6JTkib8eWEMVqqEDa7xWJALAbx << see my current address in the URL and it pulls up that other address.

RE: FTC Wallet
Well, when I check the debug window the blocks are matching up, but for some reason won’t go past 23 hours.
Figured out the issue. I had to go in to my computers time settings and sync time with an online source. Wow, what a pain the arse.
Thanks so much for your help tmuir12. As soon as this next transaction goes through, I’ll hook you up!

RE: FTC Wallet
Where exactly is the console and what is it?
And also it says 444762, but it never actually freezes.
When you hover your mouse over the green sync bar it says…
"Catching up…
Processed 444765 blocks of transaction history.
Last received block was generated 23 hours ago.
Transactions after this will not yet be visible"
Even though it is stuck at 23 hours, the processed block count keeps rising. Now it is at 444767.
