RE: Changing the hashing algorithm
PostScript already exists in the print world, so perhaps Post_Scrypt_ is a little too similar/confusing… maybe not though, it just sounded wrong to me.
The name game is fun though!
Maybe:
NuScrypt
FeatherScrypt (obviously links it to the currency that it evolved from)

RE: What do you do for a living?
I’m a film technician at a university, but really just biding my time until something I make does well - which won’t happen. I am (however) very content with my lot :)
…also run an Open Source software project that lets video editors share work with one another. I do some of the minor development tasks, but as the system has grown, I’ve been taking on more of the specifications/testing/support.
Most of all I’m a nerdy guy, which may be why crypto appeals so much!

280x game bundle
Does anybody have an XFX 280x game bundle?
Or something equivalent.
Happy to pay in FTC :)

RE: \[Note\] Discuss : Sale 3 million FTC for Official Crowdfunding
Sponsoring development through community funding is a good way forward because it doesn’t chip away at the credibility of the currency.
However, this probably is not sufficient to pay a developer his salary to sit on this until it is fixed. It is also a none trivial task. In some ways truly groundbreaking development is bordering on research anyway.
Maybe somebody with a good business face could approach the pools/exchanges to see if one is willing to take a banner on the forum in return for some FTC? It might not be a lot, but its a start…
I dunno, perhaps advertising here is not what people want to see (I don’t even know if its what I want to see), but at least we can offer a captive audience…
Failing that and beyond donations, the real challenge is to find a tangible way to monetise the resources at the disposal of the community… unless you can attract somebody willing to do it all for fun.
Either way I sympathise with the sentiment of lizhi’s post, even if the plan is a bit radical (in my opinion).

RE: Please don't die FC!
Feathercoin is one of the few that has a proper community. At first I didn’t understand the how much this matters!
Also having witnessed dying coins like SBC, I wouldn’t have said FTC is in any danger at all. In fact it keeps innovating, and that takes it from strength to strength.
I’m less worried about its value against fait. There are more important things going on here.
Lots of coins are there for the short game, but this isn’t one of them.
If FTC manages to come through with the developments in the pipeline, then I can see this being a very fertile territory.

BMW 323i e46!!
BMW 323i e46
I thought it would be worth a shot sticking this on here!
We’ve just taken this car on a charity rally to Germany. It did the 1200 mile journey without missing a beat including 2 laps of the fearsome Nurburgring! :)
The body work is not fantastic, with rust and panel damage in various places. Vinyl/stickers are easily removable, but it’ll come with them on. Front tyres and rear brakes need attention, but engine and box have been very strong. Sounds quite nice too!
Just had new inlet cam sensor.
Beige leather interior is comfy and has been cleaned, but is well worn.
Averages 30 MPG on the motorway.
This is the SE model with loads of extras such as the multi function steering wheel and disc changer.
Air con works OK.
Previous owner bought a new key a few months ago so the remote locking works great.
MOT 15/06/14
TAX 31/05/14
V5 and MOT documents present
>>>>> UK ONLY (LS29) <<<<
This is by no means a new car, but serves its purpose very well.
Will accept 10, 000 FTC (or an offer in this sort of area). LTC or BTC are also an option :)

RE: 280x is King? I think not...
Does anybody have any data for the MSI 270x?
I’ll have a google too, but seeing as its on topic I’m really considering replacing my kit with these :) …plus I don’t believe everything I read on the internet, but from folk on here I do.

RE: How many people here are putting 100% of mining power to feathercoin?
I am! Have been pointing at ftc.d2.cc directly (pretty much) since I got into this game.
Well… I had a bit of a stable coin bender about 3 months ago, but that turned out to be total trash ??? I also experimented with middle coin for a while, but now I understand how that is in fact hurting many coins/communities.
Now I’m back ‘home’ to support the coin I believe in, and thats how it’ll stay. I don’t mine and sell to pay the electricity or hardware costs, I just mine and keep the coins :)
Peace.

RE: UK lawyer / legal services
I run a software startup and am interested in a quote for some wording/a disclaimer.
Can you assist with this sort of thing?
Our software is open sourced on the GPL license (so no warranty is implied), however we have some queries when it comes to monetising the project. In particular we’re looking to sell small servers with this software preloaded, so want to make sure we’re covered/what we’re obligated to provide the customer.
I happened to catch sight of this and thought it was a pretty novel way to proceed. Please PM me with a reply.
