I’ve been working on obtaining a piece from scottypm. He’s been a pleasure to work with and I can’t wait to see the piece he’s created.

How much can you afford to spend? The cheapest I have looked into are 7850’s. I have found them used for $100 a couple of times and would expect about 350 khash/s. If you want to spend less than that you are talking about an older card. I have tried to stay away from them mainly because I worry about the reliability.

I’m also very happy with all my PowerColor cards. Started with 2x PCS+ 7950’s running sweet and stable for 2 months now.

And last week I returned 3x MSI 280X’s Gaming Edition and replaced them with 3x PowerColor 280X OC Turbo Duo running undervolted to 1.03v @ 700Kh/s each for 4 days cool & stable now + they come with a sexy black alloy backplate :D

So far I’m very pleased with Sapphire and PowerColor and dissapointed with MSI =(

Event though I dont have any ASUS cards right now, I’d say you cant go wrong with them either.

Personally, if you’re on a budget … I’d recommend you to start with a regular 270 b/c which will (according to owners here on ftc forum) easily do 400+ Kh/s.
They only have 1 power connector, allowing you to upgrade to 4 cards on any decent ~750Watts gold PSU andt hey only require about ~130Watts per card =)

Your best bet in that price range is going to be a Radeon 6850.

You may be able to snag a 6870 or 7850 if you can find a good deal or if you can put a few extra dollars into it.

6850 would mine around 250-275 khash/s
6870 would mine around 300-350 khash/s
7850 would mine around 350-400 khash/s

I have 2 7850’s mining at 390 khash/s each.

i had it as 25ftc , droped it down …its now 12FTC, with 3 FTC shipping… so thats less than…i think that equals out to a little under $5 for a ingot, with ~1 dollar shipping. on ebay they sell between 2.50-5$ + s/h . I have not sold any and i guess i will lower price to 10FTC. but remember, you can mine computer cc and turn it in to precious metals… thats a good market, right (esp if you mine coins for “free”)

I have larger (heavier) bars/coins too, just want to try to see how this goes first, and i havnt got ANY buyers :(
