Wouldn’t it be better for the long run if those ebay sellers who decide to take the risk keep selling while lobbying paypal to change its rules to accept crypto and the blockchain as proof of exchange

Worst idea ever.
I doubt it’s the ‘worst idea ever’ but fine. It really wasn’t a well thought out solution it took all of 2 milliseconds to think of it, probably if I sat down for 5 mins I could come up with a better one. The point is paypal and its like will have to adapt or die and they have a ton of money to throw at adapting. There will be some shift towards crypto from the mainstream in one form or another, the old establishment won’t just ‘go away’.
Plenty of alternatives exist, and don’t carry the same risk as Paypal. Coinbase.com. crypto-trade.com. btc-e.com. bittylicious.com. Virwox.com. Localbitcoins.com. cryptsy.com. bter.com. People do use it, and we endorse it because it’s a viable alternative to the incredibly stupid risk that Paypal entails.
You are clearly struggling with the idea that the OP is a buyer and not a seller. Paypal entails very little risk to a buyer. The alternatives you give are not alternatives to Paypal and are far riskier for the buyer, half of them are shady offshore setups and we all know it. btc-e.com lol, yeah I’m sure the BUYER here is going to blown away by BTCe’s handling of fiat compared with paypal, Lulz
I’m sorry you don’t understand to the logic in encouraging people to NOT perpetuate a broken system that rips people off all the time, and encouraging them to use systems which have established reputations.
Dude seriously, you are questioning my grip on reality? In what way do the exchanges you listed have established reputations versus PayPal, most of them have only operated a few years at best, and PayPal doesn’t rip people off all the time, sure it’s establishment and a pain for the seller but it’s far more trustworthy than any crypto exchange like it or loathe it.
Perhaps you have an ulterior motive?
This is where you seriously backflip over the shark. But um yeh sure dude you got me, I worked for paypal this whole time, what a charlatan eh. I replied to this topic specifically to encourage the entire FTC community to ditch FTC and start using Paypal. Oh wait…I bet 80 per cent of them use paypal already eh including yourself. Gee what a waste of good industrial espionage money.
I can see you are daddy big potatoes around here and don’t like anyone disagreeing with you and stuff, so yeh, i’ll bow out of this thread and let you have the last word. You have pressure. I have pressure.I give. I give to you boss.
