RE: Bitcoin's Transaction Malleability - FTC's Short Term Solution
But I’m happy to give 2 FTC to any one who has been affected by this malleability issue
Haha, that gave me a good giggle.

Someone needs to hurry up and make FTC/USD available ASAP!
There are a few exchanges that have it available.

RE: Slipping ..
Difficulty has risen substantially these past 2 days, price may soon to follow. The sell wall is still there, as everyone can clearly see. Does anybody know if the popularity of feathercoin has increased, or just a random spike in hashrate?

The feathercoin marketplace is a good start
The feathercoin marketplace is a horrible start. It’s basically a place where people are selling useless or old junk (with the odd exception) that nobody wants to buy. I find it hilarious how people keep saying that we need to start using feathercoin as an actual currency and the only place they can point to is that marketplace, which is basically an online garage sale.

As I type this we have dropped to 17th on coinmarketcap below Novacoin, with a price of 13p per FTC. This is very worrying I am afraid, you can gloss over it as much as you like but the facts are right there.Someone mentioned sustained long-term growth but in the last two months since the price spike it has been pretty steady and sustained contraction. I just hope we do not see anything bad happen that could push this further because I’m not sure what will happen if it goes down too far.
Your best bet is to move on for now and come back if things start moving forward. As much as people defend FTC, there is really nothing that it falls back on. There are extremely high amounts for sale at various exchanges with little to no buy orders to compliment. They can speak as much as they want about where it will be for their “long term growth” but from what you can clearly see as of late, there is nothing to look forward to anytime soon. The fact of the matter is that FTC is slowly falling off at the moment and there is little to no interest in it from any angle, except this “community”.

And keeps going. We are moving forward all the time and evolving the coin its image the infrastructure etc etc. So we are not treading water here. What we want is sustained long term growth not a quick fix pump or boom as every pump has its dump and every boom has its bust.Don’t rush things. Stay the course we’re in this thing together. Think long and hard about what you personally can do to help the coin the community the image succeed.
Ha. I couldn’t disagree with you more. I see absolutely nothing in terms of moving forward and evolving anything to do with the coin. When compared to other cryptos such as Doge, FTC does basically nothing in this community except for speculate on future price.

RE: Price Predictions
Price continues to fall while sell walls increase. There is no demand for Feathercoins anywhere. Millions of FTC are up for sale while only 10’s of thousands are on buy orders.
I see nothing happening in the near future.

Vault of Satoshi
I recently began trading on Vault of Satoshi and I find it to be a great exchange. They are extremely fast at verification and coin/fiat deposits and withdrawals compared to other exchanges (ex. BTC-E). I find it unfortunate that their FTC exchange volume is so low, though. I feel like gathering some attention to this exchange with regards to Feathercoins to increase the amount of volume they go through in a 24-hour period, in both bids and ask orders.
What does everyone think about this exchange? They only do crypto to fiat orders or vice-versa. However, it is fast and convenient when I go there to buy/sell my BTC and Doge.

\[Solved\] When does it change Block Reward - 840,000 blocks
Could someone enlighten me on when the block reward is going to halve and where I find this information myself?

RE: Should i stop mining
Too expensive to mine with one card? How high are your electricity rates?
My rig is running 2 R9 280x’s, 24 hours a day and I am barely paying $40 a month for that.

Nxtcoin a 100% premine and Quark which had a pump and dump after Bill Still and Keiser shouted about it. How is this chart anything like a measure of success?

If you had to pay 10k for your rig the 15,- isn’t something wonderful!~ ::)
haha true =) But then again, if one would actually pay $10k for a 2-3mh/s rig … it cant be helped anyways I guess :D
Although … I think I would still prefer to pay like twice the $$ for the rig, if I get free electricity in return =)
10k for a 2-3mh/s rig… that is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. My rig pulls 2 mh/s and it wasn’t even over $1500…

There were moment of doubt, and depression. Times I could barely pay the power bill, cgminer malfunctions, overheating, and nail biting while flashing the video card BIOS. Attacks on feathercoin from the crypto community, and hackers…I started in crypto mining Litecoin and eventually made the switch to feathercoin. It’s been a rough road however with hedging my bets on which coin will do what and investing mining power in other technologies but I’m here to say I’m back to Feathercoin. I am currently mining on middlecoin for some income and also on a load balanced basis with Feathercoin PPS which I intend to stay with for the foreseeable future.
Recent developments and the sheer nature of this coin makes it impossible to deny. The talent, determination and attitude behind this “coin”, (technology really since it’s not the coin itself it’s the way of doing things behind the basic framework of the software that drives it) has drawn be back in to stay.
I may still have to mine on middlecoin for a bit longer but I will always have at least few hashes for feathercoin till I draw my last breath.
It just sounds like you do not know what you’re doing.

RE: I would like to have your rig pictures
Here’s mine. I have a 3rd GPU on it’s way. All ASUS R9 280x running 750 kh/s and they never go lower than 740. They also never go above 63 degrees which is wonderful. The one card stays at 60 degrees while the other fluctuates between 61 and 62. I love the temps considering its kept in a small room with no fan in it, the original plan was to mine in the garage since we get about -40 C temperatures at this time of the year…

Surely that’s only 50% on the profit you made?
Yes, my mistake for the sentence. Cash out $10,000, you will be taxed xx% on $5000 of that $10,000.
Thank you for the links everyone else (sorry I don’t know how to add more than one quote).

I’m still unsure of how crypto earnings are taxed, and I suspect it varies in different countries. When I cash out I’ll probably use localbitcoins to my BA.
I’ve come to believe that any earnings from cryptocurrency will come down as capital gains in Canada, which 50% is taxed with a percentages taken from the tax bracket that you are currently in.

[Solved] Cashing Out - Seek Local Tax advice
I’ve come to terms with the taxable income on cashing out any coins I may have, as well as any fees that come when withdrawing money from an exchange. Now is there any method that anyone has found which is cheapest to cash out your coins with or a website to cash them out on? How about cashing out and avoiding taxes? When I do end up cashing my coins, I, like most of you, would love to be able to save/avoid losing as much money as possible.
Thoughts and suggestions?
