RE: Send FTC to the moon - 350FTC each, 20 positions.
Come on people 12 places left, get those feathers out, book a place now to avoid tears and puffy eyes later.

RE: Time to introduce Feathercoin to public is now, not after it makes headlines again
Pity we didn’t think of something along the lines of the ice bucket challenge or maybe someone here smart enough can.
Promotion through charity would be one way to tell the public about us and to do something good at the same time.

RE: Feathercoin Hackathon?
Here are few ideas for this event.
Tech Idea, Popular smart phone apps to accept feathercoin as payment.
Publicity Ideas,
Major charitys in the Oxford area that we could get to accept feathercoin donations.
We could even hold a charity rent a date auction. Whoever bids the most feathercoin goes on date with whatever celebrity we can put up on auction, could be a media celebrity if we have the contacts or a crypto celebrity, all raised coins goes to a charity.
A feathercoin Lotto Prize Draw could be held at the event, with either prizes or feathercoins up for grabs.

RE: List of Feathercoin FPGA/ASIC miners
I see a lot of people are going ASIC, must get my thumb out and do some research, any help on what to get and where to get it would be very much appreciated. I’m gonna miss my red hot GPU’s.
Although playing with some new toys will be fun.

Stability
Over the last few months I use my Feathercoin as currency more than ever before, why?, because it’s so stable at the moment.
For most of the last few years we had people moan that cryptos had no stability, and now that we have that stability we should use this opportunity to our advantage. We should trade more with Feathercoin now than ever before, we should inform more people about Feathercoin whilst it is stable and under hyped.

RE: \[Note\] Discuss : Sale 3 million FTC for Official Crowdfunding
Oppose, that idea would be very bad for feathercoin.

RE: Download Link Issues
I’ve reported this problem like 3 months back… Are you using Chrome? Because the problem was browser specific, try a mozilla derivative (like firefox) or IE :-(
Nope, I’m using firefox, lastest update, I may have some custom stuff done to the browser, will try another browser, thanks anyhow, I just needed to know if the links where up, I’ll probably try another browser.
Thanks: Strangely enough chrome worked ok, as much as I dislike chrome.

Download Link Issues
It could be me,(it usually is) but where on main page is the client available for download, and because its a hard fork event can we stick a link into bushstars post on top.
I’m still busy with stuff at home but dropped by to update my client. Feathercoin is doing very well compared to a ton of other cryptos at the moment so many thanks to those working hard for feathercoin.

RE: New coins does not affect market cap?
That is fine with the share or coin price…
Buy why doesnt the overall market cap increase with the increase of coins that are maintaining value??
That is what I am wondering about?
It does but a small trade of 100,000 coins could negate that increase.
If you do the maths, coins mined in a day by $0.20 cent it does not amount to much of an increase to the marketcap.
115,200 coins per day X $0.20 = €23,040 increase per day

RE: New coins does not affect market cap?
It means feathercoin is very good at holding its value, historically speaking it always has been good at holding its value.
More coins do not automatically mean less value, you have to notice the difficulty has remained above 200 for a while now which means those feathercoins are getting harder to mine, this will continue will the introduction of asics, in maybe 6 months time your average size 2GHash rig will be lucky to get you 10 coins a day, if of course we continue to see more asics come online.

RE: Shock and awe campaign
People who now know I’m into Bitcoin, now ask me for my opinion on the subject when they read/see it in the press. It’s scary how misinformed people are and it’s nice to see their opinion change when presented with an alternative view on the subject. We all must do this. It’s like firefox’s adoption years ago, I know my Dad still uses Firefox to this day and that’s only because I used it back then.
Getting that here also and dito on firefox.
I agree, its funny how you end up being the person everyone talks to about crypto as soon as they know your mining or won some.
Essentially every time anything is in the press about BTC or Mt Gox or whatever family / work colleagues ask me if ive lost all my money yet (lol) as thats how its painted by some newspapers.
I think its important to set the record straight and be a source of accurate information and generally to be an advocate for the cause.
Im only one person so maybe not a true representation of the community as a whole but I have got more out than I have put in and I don’t just mean financially.
I mean morally, socially , intellectually and yes financially but its not just about that.
I’m doing my very small part every day as I’m sure you all are (most much more than me), and really this is how information spreads now, its local ,its viral and maybe we don’t need the news to be accurate as long as the subject is in the public eye we have an opportunity to start a discussion.
I totally agree kris, it seems to me that the banks and the big boys are supporting a lot of the negative media attention crypto has, but word of mouth is much stronger and if everyone that uses cryptos does there small part, they can never stop us.

RE: Have the scrypt asics arrived already?
Gridseed and dualminers are the small scrypt asics running at the moment, I presume some members here are running them.
-
RE: Enigmatic bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto found
I’d say Satoshi is probably dead, a freak accident or something back in 2010 and all his secrets have been taken to the grave.
-
RE: Have the scrypt asics arrived already?
I think they have been around for months, probably since last October and yes they all made a killing over xmas, probably some going online all the time since then.

RE: ChrisJ for the Bitcoin Foundation?
Remember Chris, when you reach the top, that’s when we begin the coup to dethrone Bitcoin and implement the Feathercoin takeover.
This thread is not public … right?
