Well, I managed to get my stuff into BTC-e, where I bought 80 FTC. Someone else sent me 25 in the IRC the other day, so I’ve got over a 100 now. I feel good :)

All in all, I haven’t invested more than $20 in getting a little FTC. I highly recommend it if you’re not the mining type, as I’m sure FTC will go up in value someday (even if just a little).

Ah, so my own personal uptime is the most important factor then.

I’m wondering if the pools with more mh/s result in faster payouts.

I’m mining with really slow hardware by comparison, so I obviously want to be in a pool with the fastest payout since my payout rate is tiny - right? Or do I want to be in a slower pool? How does that work, and what’s my best bet if I’m under 100 kh/s?

Actually, he’s been quite civil in my opinion. He seems interested in the project.

Perhaps advertising a currency is going a little too far. At least we’re having fun. And he wants to have fun, too. So we should just keep encouraging the poor guy to jump in and throw his weight in with the rest of us.

Thanks Mark. I’m going to keep adding more information to it as I go. I keep “stealing” info off the forums and posting it up there so we have a central reference point. I’ll try to remember to add references to the forum topics as I go.
