And, ahem, there is something interesting at Off-topic>Archive>Community bonus *wink, wink, nudge, nudge*
1> My mining rig is, well, just my work PC where I stuck in a Radeon GPU.
Specs: Intel Core i3 540
4GB RAM
Sapphire HD 6790 1 GB DDR5
Windows Professional 64 bit
SMPS: Some generic 400W

My initial card died while I was playing Mass Effect (of all things) a couple of days before Feathercoin was released. Imagine my frustration as I plugged on with the two Core i3 processors at my disposal (the other one being the lappy in the picture). Anyways, I bought this card after a couple of weeks and have been mostly mining Feathercoins; though occasionally jumping to some low difficulty promising alt.
This ‘rig’ is just for gaining experience and I am now planning on getting a dual 7950 setup. The only thing I am not sure about is the case - do I buy a standard one which would cost more or try making one. I guess I will just buy a standard one for this and worry about custom if I expand further.
2> I have been mining at give-me-ftc off late (username: Fernandez, User ID: 610). Earned almost 50 FTC over the past week as difficulty has mostly stayed under 100.

3> cgminer 3.0.1 settings
color B1
cgminer --scrypt -o stratum.give-me-ftc.com:3333 -u Fernandez.1 -p x --shaders 800 --intensity 10 --worksize 256 -g 1 -s 2
The intensity is kept at 10-12 as I use my PC for work too (which my laptop can’t handle). This gives me around 140 Khash/s. I usually ramp up the intensity to 14-15 overnight which gives me a little over 200 Khash/s. I also sometimes press into work my CPU though it hardly contributes and serves only to unnecessarily heat up the air around it.
The GPU core is clocked at 840 MHz while the 1 GB DDR5 memory is at 1050 MHz. I overclocked with AMD Overdrive but it barely increased the hashing rate while increasing temperature so I have reverted to stock settings.
The best share I got was 2.93m. Good thing that people set up pools :)
4> My cooling system is just to leave the panel open. Its an airconditioned room anyways with the thermostat at 24C. At max load (intensity 15) it goes upto 78C at 67% Fan speed. Though usually at max load it stays at 75-76C at 61-63% fan speed. The only time it crossed 80C was when I was messing with the cgminer settings and turned off auto-fan. But I immediately manually set it to 85% and all was OK
I tried tinkering with target temp settings, but left it out as the auto settings seem to be good enough and keeps it under 76-77C anyways.
For my new rig, I am planning on getting this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129180
What do the experts reckon? Any better options?
5> I was helped by d2. So tickets for him.

w00t for a weeks worth of mining! lel
I get 40-50 FTCs a week mining, so 10-11 days worth :)
Which reminds me, I have to post in the mining contest thread.
I have been mining with both my CPU and GPU at give-me-ftc on separate workers. Does the lower difficulty CPU shares affect the payout for the GPU shares too?
These guys had made Minecraft which used LTC as in-game currency. Now they are making another game which uses their own coins.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=146378.0
Maybe some game like this is the way to go if we can get some tie-in in with developers (not the above mentioned, as they are obviously into their own coin).
Making a MMORPG is a huge task, and there is a very good chance that it will flop.
On the other hand, we can look into the existing games and services and see if we can integrate feathercoin in there. The problem of course is why would they bother with FTCs. So we have to see what incentive we can provide. One major selling point is that the coins you can earn in-game can not only allow you to buy armours, upgrades etc but you can also go elsewhere to buy other stuff.
We should start with the small, struggling games who are finding it tough to compete with the big boys. In that way the ability for their players to spend coins outside will be an incentive to draw gamers to them.
All those of you who have lost, may I suggest losing a few more FTCs? Maybe 6.56 FTCs on a potato masher? ;)

100 mins left for my poor thermite grenade :-\
50 mins now. The game’s almost over.
Can’t believe its going to blow at 34.
If someone jumped on the 3 I have I would then have the ftc to jump on that one, just not sure if there is interest in the game anymore
Yeah, I see you are stuck on 3 grenades.
I had actually thought the game was dead; then was surprised to see the prices today and got suckered back in. Luckily it remained low and I will lose only 18 FTCs.
