RE: Feathercoin is Not Money
Dear Calem, I find it amusing when you present this as an advantage:
We are the only large coin that is willing to grow, adapt and evolve in every direction, as opposed to focusing on a niche.
This man wrote a couple of books, 30 years ago, true, but still relevant. Marketing introductory level textbook material. He says that being stuck in the middle is not an advantage.

RE: FTC on BitcoinWisdom
Really? But still not accessible through the “markets” menu after “months”. Whatever you say.

RE: 199577 of 470000 Blocks
I am not noticing this. Mine says:
Up to date. Processed 199686 blocks of transaction history.
I am using v0.8.6.0 compiled from git.

RE: We need a marketing plan
lizhi, I couldn’t agree more, but what you are suggesting is usually called promotion.
RaccoonPete, what you are talking about is called a pump. The downside of this is that whenever there is a pump there is also a dump. You may search the Litecoin forum for comments following the massive FTC dumping (May, 2013). This is not good for the coin in the long run; some people may profit from it, though.

RE: Vote for FTC/AUD Pair! (Bring ftc to BTCMarkets)
Voted twice. I’ve also ask a couple of friends to vote for FTC.

RE: ADSactly The Ultimate Society
Please stop fighting over this. It leads nowhere.
It is obvious that ADSactly went public with his site much too early in the development process. It is very easy to be (overly) excited about something you created, and than feel bad because others don’t share your enthusiasm.
ADSactly, I understand that you are eager to see you project walk, and that you need money to grow it further. But launching it too early you risk getting no money + getting a bad reputation.
My advice(s):

Understand the essence of the relationship marketing. The book Total Relationship Marketing (Evert Gummerson) might be a good starting point. Not because you need to know how to make a project walk, but to understand that relationships (with customers, potential customers, even competitors etc) are assets.

Redesign your project to make it relevant to a (large enough) group of people. Find your segment, and try to fulfill the needs that are already present there.

Redesign your project in such way that services will fit together in a logical way; for the current size of your project. You are not wise to offer a) web hosting, b) SEO, c) advertising network … Nobody will believe you that you are good at all/any of them. This could tear your project apart. seriously.

Redesign your services. Innovate. Not just because you can, but try to make innovations relevant to someone. When I read about the URL rotator (as decribed on your site) I felt my blood pressure rising. Get someone that knows at least something about marketing. Random redirects seem like nonsense to me. Try to learn about the visitors from the available data. see 5)

You might get a couple of ideas reading: Avinash Kaushik: Web Analytics, and Web Analytics 2.0. Don’t event try to enter the market below this level.

When you are satisfied with the redesign show the project to your friends, and ask how they feel about it. Then ask forum members about their opinion.

If you are satisfied with the feedback go present your project at a conference. Even Feathercoin meeting at Oxford Blue might be a good start. If it is not worth presenting it is not worth developing (my opinion). Unless you are only after offering web hosting service, but I don’t think you are.
OK?
I hope it helps.Disclaimer: I am not affiliated with ADSactly in any way. I don’t know the guy. This is the first time I’ve heard of him & this project.
