Just a reminder - there is still nobody selling Feathercoin on Bittylicious.
It’ll need to be taken down if nobody is willing to sell for UK bank transfers.

So, all’s good from a technical perspective, but the person who used to sell a lot of FTC via bank transfer has sadly had his bank account shut down.
Thus, we need more sellers on the Bittylicious platform who can sell Feathercoin for UK bank transfers. If you want to keep Feathercoin alive on there, this really is needed as the demand for Feathercoin hasn’t been bad over the last month or two.
So far, the latest 0.8 seems to be working well so I’ll stick with that for now. Thanks for the help.
Thanks for that.
Actually, the only reason I was going for 0.9 was because I recognised 0.8 wasn’t working, presumably because I detected the fork early. I’m now using the latest 0.8 (as I much prefer to use release rather than pre-release versions) and functionality seems to be restored.
@Wellenreiter For what it’s worth, we were on 0.8.7. Usually someone from the Feathercoin team gets in touch with us when there’s an upgrade we need but we weren’t notified this time, and 0.9.3 doesn’t compile properly (although we’re working around this).
Hello,
I run Bittylicious and Feathercoin is on there. I’m currently running v0.8.7.2 and get the following in getinfo:
error: {“code”:-2,“message”:“Safe mode: Warning: Displayed transactions may not be correct! You may need to upgrade, or other nodes may need to upgrade.”}
What should I be upgrading to? When trying to compile 0.9.3, I get some hideous errors as follows:
make[4]: Entering directory `/home/feathercoin/Feathercoin-0.9.3/src/test’
CXX test_bitcoin-base58_tests.o
base58_tests.cpp: In member function ‘void base58_tests::base58_keys_valid_parse::test_method()’:

On a related note, can the Feathercoin team please keep me up to date when new wallets are released as I can’t check all altcoin sites manually.
Thanks,
Marc
Thanks for that, panoramix. You are now upgraded from troll to regular human being.
It sounds like your argument isn’t actually directed at Bittylicious at all, so I would say that it’s not really suitable for this thread. It would have been better to start a new thread with your concerns about Feathercoin and its place in the altcoin world. I suggest you still do this, even if there is duplicate content, as people won’t be looking for this information in a Bittylicious announcement thread.
panoramix, grow up. You’ve run out of things to say, so don’t repeat yourself as it just adds noise. Go to reddit if you want to troll.
I’m glad someone realised that I mentioned Feathercoin (and this was obviously entirely intended - Bittylicious accepts a fair few coins but Feathercoin is great, and “local”).
It’s a shame that people like panoramix seem to want to burn their bridges. Of course I won’t let it get to me, but some other partners might not be so understanding.
Thanks for that, panoramix. So the fact that there are other coins on there means somehow that Bittylicious has no more relevance to Feathercoin? I fail to understand your reasoning.
I’m glad that the rest of the community knows that forming good relationships, like the relationship between Feathercoin and Bittylicious, is a good thing and key to growing a prosperous coin like Feathercoin.
Good news!
And what about an european resident living in japan and paying with a japanese card??
Sorry, the card needs to be enrolled in the 3D Secure scheme, which I believe is just for European cards.
Chargebacks: We only accept cards with 3D Secure enabled which helps us an awful lot.
Euro only: I’m afraid so, but most credit cards will let you buy stuff in Euros anyway. In the next few weeks we should be accepting British pounds and in fact, this evening, the test environment for pounds is being activated.
Hey dudes,
I had a nice long chat on Monday with the writer of the article just published at http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/news/10559175/How-to-get-your-virtual-hands-on-some-bitcoins.html which features Bittylicious.
He’s kindly also mentioned in the article that Bittylicious takes Feathercoins and Litecoins :) Nice little bit of press there.

So it’s more a trading platform than an exchange, just like bitcoin.de is for BTC, right?
The deals are directly between the users and not user A->Bitylicions->user B
You’re pretty much right. You don’t get to choose the user though as the system hides the complexities from your and keeps all coins in escrow.

When there are sellers in a EU country, do I still need that UK Account?
No, you would use whatever payment method is required in that country (e.g. a bank account in Belgium that can transfer instantly to another account in Belgium).

Will it be possible to purchase FTC outside of the UK (Belgium, Netherlands?)
Only if you happen to have a UK bank account. I’m afraid that no sellers in Belgium and The Netherlands have come forward to offer FTC yet.

Hi I’m in the UK. Is there a minimum order? I set it to order just 1 FTC to test and said not enough coins availiable?
Yes, the minimum is 10 FTC. This needs to be made a bit more obvious so apologies.

But its Crypto can you not just send some, I thought that being able to send coins in an instant anywhere in the world is one of Crypto currencies best features :)
Sorry sarcasm is not one of my best features ;)

Bittylicious is a method of converting fiat (e.g. British Pounds) into Bitcoins and Feathercoins. It’s not anything to do with exchanging virtual currencies with other people or into other virtual currencies.
Hi all, it is great news. However I just tried to buy my first FTC there and it said not enough coins availiable. They must have sold out already? :(
What country are you in? There should be plenty of coins available in the UK, but not in The Netherlands.
