Volunteers will be able to participate, however, [u]they will have no direct influence over the contest[/u]. Their primary responsibility is to answer questions and escalate issues to ClearCrystal15.

[b]Before We Get Started[/b]

To protect against abuse, you must have at least 10 ‘legit’ forum posts before we start counting your entries. “Hey, what’s up” is not considered legit. :) Please take some time when you get here, get familiar with our community and make 10 useful posts/responses.

[b]Quality Submissions Required[/b]

JustaBitofTime placed limits on the amount of tickets that can be earned per category to help push for quality. All skill levels are more than welcome to submit entries, just please make a real effort to put your best foot forward. If an entry is identified as ‘spam or little effort’, it will be brought to JustABitofTime’s attention. He’ll make a determination to either remove the entry or send it to the Contest Lead and 2 assistants for a vote.

The submitter will be notified of the results with an opportunity to resubmit the work. Please don’t abuse the resubmission process, this could lead to removal from the contest.

[b]The Why?[/b]

Despite what you hear on ‘certain’ websites, Bushstar and myself aren’t diving into vats of Feathercoin like Scrooge McDuck. I first heard about Feathercoin on BTC-e and I decided to check it out. I didn’t know anyone associated with Feathercoin prior to buying my first coins from XorXor.

Immediately, I liked the attitude of ‘building something from the ground up’ in terms of community and useability for JoeUser. I decided to take my experience working on large C-level IT related type projects as well as organizing political grassroots campaigns. I can’t believe how far we’ve come in such a short time.

So many around here volunteer so much of their spare time for Feathercoin. It’s more than Bushstar or myself could ever ask for… it’s something that makes this place truly unique. I think Zerodrama said it best:

"The concept is alien in everyday life. When’s the last time you went to a mall and everyone was giving directions or picking up trash? Or a school and everyone was teaching, grading, testing, and tutoring?

It’s just not part of the regular experience. So let’s make it ;)"

I want to say thank you by giving away $1000 out of my pocket while also attracting more interest to the coin everyone spends so much time and effort day to day. Personally, I’m not rolling in Scrooge McDuck money either… I just feel it’s important.

[b]Lottery System: [/b]

The more you participate, the more tickets you will gain for each of the 10 drawings
Each category will have limits on the number of tickets a participant is able to earn
Participants have the option to enter as many categories as they chose, however, work CAN NOT be used in multiple categories.
Prior work to the contest start date will not be accepted
Entry guidelines are posted in their respective thread for each category

[b]Tracking [/b]

Participants will track results under the “Proof of Accomplish Here” threads for each category
If you earn a bonus, it’s possible to go over the max number of ticket requirements.
Ex: Max 10 Tickets, you earn 8 plus a bonus item of 5 = 13 total tickets

[b]Abuses[/b]

Duplicate accounts will not be tolerated
Attempts at spamming will not be tolerated
JustaBitofTime will have final say in any type of disqualification

[b]Drawing Dates: [/b]

The drawing for the 1000 coins will occur on June 30 at 1:00pm (US Eastern)
The 10 drawings for $1000 total FTC will occur on July 14th at 1:00pm (US Eastern)

The number of tickets per category will be calculated at the end of the contest
Each ticket will be assigned a number

Ticket list will be posted as a sticky on this forum at least 2 hours before the drawing
I will record the drawing as well as stream it live (web cam)
I will be on web cam at least 15 minutes prior to the drawings

I will choose 10 output for the categories contest
I will choose 1 for the overall 1000 coin contest

Note: The max will be changed to the number of tickets for that particular category

[b]Extra:[/b]

FTC value will equal 10 cents per 1
If value is great than 10 cents at 10pm Eastern June 27th, that value will be chosen
JustaBitofTime will have final say on any conflicts
Minimum of 4 entries per category. If 4 entries aren’t met, that prize pool will be rolled over to a future contest
The same work can not count for multiple categories (ex: Video of Feathercoin, is either Video or Art… not both)
While prior work is appreciated, it will not count toward the ticket entries
Try to have fun, this was meant to be a thank-you and not a hardcore lawyer proof 200 pages of rules :)
