Can we please get more traction on Reddit, too?

Feathercoin community is really underestimating the biggest platform in the world which is Reddit. The subReddit has been neglected for more than 3 years and people have given up hope there. Now with the recent spike, Feathercoin seems to get some curious visitors, but they leave with disappointment. The vast majority will go to https://www.reddit.com/r/FeatherCOin/ to learn more about the coin and see if there is a general interest from the average person. When they see that this subreddit is dead, the assumption is then made that the coin is dead too.
Yes, we have a great forum and a great website but these people in here are already convinced about Feathercoin. It is about attracting new people and share this coin to them, And when a newbie comes to this forum he/she will feel overwhelmed with the amount of info here and more likely to leave the site. Reddit has a low threshold where newbies can read more about Feathercoin. If we could also move some of the talks there would be great!

Generally, interested in real grass roots use of social platforms. From what I understand Reddit is having a resurgence, but it’s non open source / centralized nature was against some core principles.
Having a FTC person run it, this is open source project it need long term solutions that don’t rely on people who have other responsibilities at times, like starting a business in the meat world etc.
We are always looking for helpers or moderators, and current moderators would help try to contact old helpers with info, if you want to do some work on “Redit”.
We’d start opening a chat group, doing a post and disusing a strategy / way forward with redit, post any results for the community here.
One idea would be, a tag where post could be mirrored to Reddit? etc

Not trying to add any bias, but i find Reddit to be one of the most awesome web communities today.
Wide spectrum of knowledge, lots of fun, quality advice and tutorials, often mature enough to save you hours of initial research on a topic etcFeathercoin could potentially benefit from Reddit, i have seen lots of people express interesting (and extremely useful) opinions/feedback regarding projects at the development and even functional stage.

I have tried to answer questions on reddit whenever I can. I have no idea who the current admins/mods are for the subreddit.
I agree that a lot of crypto users are on Reddit for /r/btc /r/bitcoin /r/cryptotrading and so on
it does help the end user to have just 1 reddit account and be able to access/partake on multiple subreddits…for the forums here, they would need to re-register and I can see how that might discourage some users. I myself …for example…lurked on the Feathercoin forums for over a year before I registered an account.

Another site which needs to be promoted to the Feathercoin community is steemit.com or busy.org. Both of these sites link to the STEEM blockchain so if you post on one it also appears on the other. This is particularly useful as it generates Steem dollars which in turn can be exchanged for other currency. One aspect of this would be as a way to generate additional income that could be used to improve the Feathercoin blockchain (used for additional development etc.). Another positive is that holdings of alternative coins could be used for price stabilization of Feathercoin.
