New P2Pool Node - East Coast USA - NO FEE!
-
I agree with @RIPPEDDRAGON , that is why I’ve always supported p2pool, and such as @Wellenreiter and @Ghostlander did so much work to make sure, anyone can run a fair / open source and distributed FTC pool, especially on the Neoscrypt change over …
-
I also agree. Its one of the reasons I stuck around with Feathercoin. It always seemed like p2pool was pushed here more than another coin. Granted our hash distribution doesnt really show it with cointron controlling so much but the people in the community, the ones who really matter, are pro-p2pool and thats great!
Hash away my friends!

any guesses who is running the 80MH/s rig on coinotron? I feel like I need to get rigs 4 and 5 built so I can get more than 10 MH/s…

Why not sold the parts and buy FTC directly while the price is low?

I have sold off 1/3rd of my parts so far, I am currently buying FTC with real $, and with these custom rackmount chassis costing me $550 each I am unlikely to sell off the remainder of my parts.
Mining is also a method of heating for my house every winter and will continue to heat my house as long as its cheaper to heat than oil. Even with oil at $1.55 a gallon here its still a better deal for me to mine.

@Mirrax, there is fun in mining for a miner as there is fun in trading for you :-)

I am sure you are sleeping and have a notification in your email but @AmDD your pool is down :)

Thanks. Not sure whats going on. The server is online - I can SSH into it. The services are running. Let me restart them and see if that helps.

Looks to be back now. I need to come up with some sort of notification if this happens again.

The stats section seems to be running WAY faster today after you got the server back up. I have had some slowness and freezing on that page over the last week or so.

@AmDD and the node is down again, sorry bud

I found a free service that emails me when the site goes down… I got this notification before I got theirs… lol
I reset it again, I’ll try to drill down and see whats causing it. I hope you have backup pools setup. :/ Sorry for the issues.

I set one up this morning, I thought I had one already set but I had lost it when I want from ftctheblocksfactory mining to p2pool mining, oops. Don’t worry about it :) however, you have by far the fastest p2pool server for me so when you go down I am not nearly as efficient.

6 People and 10MH/s on this node. If you are in the USA come join us!

Looks like you went offline.
Ive got my cards running near 400khs now which puts me at just over 2MHs. Once I get more power in that room I can fire up the rest of my cards and I should be about 3.4MHs. Maybe this week… -

Gents, I suggest to configure 2 different p2pool nodes in your miners, e.g. The one from ripperdragon and my one, one acting as primary, the other as secondary.
That way you won’t loose payouts if one pool node goes down, as the shares you mine on one node are counted on the other one, if your miner switches nodes.
-
So I went to update my pool to 0.9.3.1 and it blew up. Doesnt seem to be related to the update - i lost networking on the node. Contacted tech support and they were unable to help so I had to reinstall.
Ive followed @Wellenreiter 's guide and with this version of feathercoind (0.9.3.1) running the command ‘feathercoind’ i never get returned to the # prompt. This never happened before with other versions. I can close the console and it seems to keep running. Just pointing it out.
The P2Pool node will be back once feathercoind syncs.

Be sure to have the daemon=1 in your config file, or supplied the parameter -daemon when starting fathercoind.

Hi folks! @AmDD, hope you’re able to keep your pool running, I’m pointing 1.8MH at you and plan to keep it that way from here out for a while. :) Switched from coinotron; I always liked and used p2pools in the past (x11 mostly), but seems the ftc p2pools are quite dry these days. (Everyone mining ethereum? I’m done with that… :)) And thanks for keeping the fee low, .5% is great.
So, does anyone know who runs the other US pool in the current list, 65.101.238.110? It doesn’t have any hash on it at all right now. I’d like to set it as a failover, just in case, though p2pool.neoscrypt.de might be ok (I’m on the east coast).
