Also the retarget calculator is still off. But hashrate is steady, which suggests that prices have had little effect. Someone isn’t going to be happy in a few days.

[/quote]This isn’t something we can guarantee right now. The network calculator has promised 3 days for a while now and that’s not happening. Like I said, somewhere the calculation is off.

Zerodrama, I have now set the sample to 60 blocks as 120 was still too large.
It now shows 55 minutes a block and 5 day(s), 1 hour(s), 13 min, 12 sec till retarget.

We’re about a third of the way in to 504.

[/quote]Not quite. We are running in multiples of 504 from the beginning block now. The block adjust at 33,000 was forced. The next adjust is at 33,264 which is now 124 block away. We are about five days away from retarget :)

I’m gonna jot some ideas here:
Liberty Reserve got shut down.
We need to generalize and humanize the cryptocoin system to other markets such as shipping (a blockchain representing the shipping history), contracts (glbse used to use Ricardian contracts which used bitcoin signatures), vehicle ownership and repair history, commodity market trade records for futures, etc.We need to show the world that the simpleton “oh noes pseudonymous drug, thief money” mantra that will be pushed by the system is just marketing fear to maintain control.
This isn’t a garage project. We’re flipping the power structure here.

[/quote]People on the forum are asking this now too, it shouldn’t be too hard to add right? Since the difficulty will retarget every 504blocks.
