Scan Private Key
-
I received an email from Claire today. A few weeks ago I suggested that she work on an import private key feature from an image for crypto. Today she tells me that she has completed this work. Kudos to Claire, I’m raising a few Feathercoins to send her to say thanks. If you want to contribute as well let me know. Next step is to get this feature into Feathercoin.
I have added the snap feature to a test-coin. I made a video to demo the feature:

It requires a new library, which I am also hosting at github since the original is a huge download and doesn’t compile properly on Windows:

If you want me to add the feature to Feathercoin, let me know. It does require a new library so it will change the build for all the platforms.
I decided to start a new thread at bitcointalk and let anyone grab the code, if they are interested. Thank you for the idea–it was fun
Take care,

Very Cool, We need some good features

I suggest Claire put a patch in up stream with Bitcoin, hopefully Bitcoin talk engender that… We can then just apply that patch to Feathercoin. Kudos to her, to be on the new wave of open source development great feature to add.
What were the extra libraries, I’ll pre add them to the compile guide?

Having recently been playing with paper wallets and found it, what I can only describe as a CPITA, this feature is very welcome.
But more excitingly, Legocoin?
