[/quote]Bill Still … still has his Quark and the price went up (on Max Keiser news) because it got out QRK would be listed on btc38 and down because btc38 did not like that and refused to list QRK until price dropped to a reasonable level (they felt it was inflated on news and they were not willing to pay inflated price – who can blame them). So btc38 no longer will give notice when a coin will be added. This is what I read.
Personally, I don’t think the P&D label is fair to Quark, but I understand where the sentiment arises.

Its not the premine thats the problem. Its that a few individuals hoarded up the entire amount, hyped it and slowly selling it off at 1000x the price to unsuspecting buyers.Ditto with Mastercoin.

Following Justabit’s comments I want add that I don’t necessarily think NXTCoin is a scam because no proof of work is present. My point was that that chart was misleading because the way they arrive at market cap is to multiply the current exchange value by the total supply of coins.
Well look, if all you have to do is enter a number in to a database followed by an announcement on a forum then yeah sure, we can play this game if we want and get ourselves up some meaningless leaderboard. But it’s hardly a measurement of anything very interesting and doesn’t help us solve any real problems.
What’s important is the way coins are distributed and if NXTCoin are distributing their coins in a way that is considered fair by the market then they will earn their place. If the market thinks the lottery system of PoW is better then those coins will our survive the rest. It looks like NXT have given away their coins as bounties which is what Bushstar did with his early mined coins.
We should welcome all experimentations with full transparency of the founders in place.
