Exchange alternatives

This is the third time im having trouble with cryptsy.com…
Transfering funds dont show up, cancelled sell orders that dont get refunded etc.Im guessing they have to large of a queue on the DB, however. This has been going on for some time now.
Given the scale of the site they SHOULD be able to afford proper servers to handle the request load, or do a fix for “bot trading” that makes the hole thing sirup.
Nothing wrong with trading bots, but if the site cant handle the load…So i have had enought.
Anyone know about alternatives that have large large of coins, and volume on em. BTC-E is a not interessting.

I see people talking about Bter alot I am currently using Btce at the min, but I am thinking of changing to Bter because the troll box on btce is soul destroying :)

I’d be interested in good exchanges too until if/when Cryptsy gets their act together. Seeing them add more coins to the LTC markets yesterday morning when our withdrawals and deposits were stuck 15 hours was the last straw. I did think Cryptsy were good people who were just in over their heads with an overloaded and buggy site. Now I think they’re just greedy.
The other sites I know about and like are either low volume or low number of coins, or both. Of course if a lot of people switch to Crypto-Trade and Vircurex they will no longer be low volume. It also remains to be seen if they could handle a big increase in volume. (Edit: Vircurex’s LTC market is buggy. I haven’t had any issues with the site otherwise.)
I keep hearing about BTER and Coinex.pw. Have not used either. They look like they are the closest to Cryptsy with number of coins listed. How are they - high volume or low? Reliable or not?
I do not recommend Coins-E. They are supposedly under new management. I’ll believe anything has changed for the better if they ever credit the hung deposits from July and August to my account. Support is still completely nonresponsive.

I am going to do another shameless plug for Coinmkt.com. It does seem legit

Surprised no one on here has mentioned Crypto-Trade. I have been using them for a while now and I have had no problems with them. That and they offer Paypal withdrawals ;D
I did…above…but I suppose that post was a tl;dr.
Oh, and they also have a FTC/USD trading pair ;D
Have you tried their PayPal withdrawal and how well does it work?
Coinmkt isnt a good alternative. Its allready like walking in sirup, without the load from a ton of users.
What do you think will happen if they get popular? they allready have issues displaying me graphs on their current load…They need to tone down the eyecandy and make it usable for the traders.
Their hidden withdraw fee was the last drop for me last time. I dont mind paying a fee. But a fee on withdrawing funds from the exchange (substantial sized fee to!)
I’ll admit I just scrolled through your post looking for key words, sorry ;)
But no I haven’t had the chance to use Paypal with it yet. Waiting for the price to go up for BTC as I sell FTC for BTC then sell that. I’ll let you know once the price is suitable for me.
