Crowd funded advertising campaign! and facebook profile pic day!
-
I have 2 awesome ideas to get more people interested in feathercoin, the first is a crowd funded google ads or similar campaign managed by possibly a senior member anf the other is feathercoin day were all members change their facebook profile pics to the feathercoin logo? Also I was thinking of starting an e-shop that sells feathercoin t-shirts, bumper stickers, mugs, flags and other promotional things.
The more people who see it the better! Also if we have a feathercoin day I will put feathercoin posters up on lamp posts all over my city!!
Let me know what you guys think :)

Nice! Ok I will update my first post as we go with dates and plans, for now I will make a special wallet for the advertising campaign, I know a fair bit about google adwords and also have an account ready to go, is there any special wallets for crowd funding?
Your second idea fits much more into the alternate currency philosophy. The Satoshi Bitcoin protocol is a self aligning system with an early adopter bonus already built in.
What is starting to happen next is, goods and services to be paid in Feathercoins. A wider acceptance will vastly increase the value above what short term pump and dumps can do Because the more people who want it, the more scarce the coin.
There is no point attracting too many non technical people before we can properly handle it. That is a common cause of enterprise failure.
As the network is created the early adopter bonus is reduced. Then transaction fees (by group concensus of miners) will pay for the network.
I get that. But what would be the difference of placing a feathercoin stick on your car bumper and changing your fb profile pic to the ftc logo?
It is a very nice symbol and if people see it on facebook and like it then they might buy some of my feathercoin merchandise which can only be purchased with feathercoin. Thats one way to look at it, then another type of person might buy feathercoin and use it to buy mining equipment or other such things :)
