WATCH LIVE - Feathercoin on MadBitcoins
-
This is why I love feathercoin. I think Worldcoin and Litecoin are amazing, and I think both will find their place in the world… feathercoin still has the best community of all the coins I’ve seen. That video was a great reminder of how this is really just the beginning of a movement.

Great work Chris! -
I’m starting a fundraiser to see if Kevlar can get Chris layered onto the FTC blockchain.
Nice job Chris and thanks!
Edit : lulz, go to 16 minutes 35 seconds and listen to Chris.
Then go to 19 minutes 55 seconds and listen to Franko.
'nuff said.

As others have stated, I was very impressed with Chris’ input. By far the most articulate, professional and knowledgeable of the three.
I found the Litecoin guy’s voice comical. Thought I was watching The Cleveland Show or The Boondocks or something haha.

Great Job Chris!

Out of those 3,it seems like feathercoin has the best PR. Maybe its just the english accent lol

::) It was nice to hear something from Franco. I hope there will be another show soon - with other alt coins (would like to hear Ghostlander, Gridcoin, Quark…).
-
Welcome, Franco. Great to have you here. :) I enjoyed the whole show, and I really like your coin. Keep up the great work.
Id really like to practice more. Id also like to see other reps get in that seat. Its very intimidating to go from being behind a screen coding to knowing people are watching you live give answers on the spot.
But you quickly got into the swing, the more you do it, the more it will seem like second nature to you, there is no way in hell I’d take the spotlight like that, so hats off to you Franko. ;)

Hey Franko, welcome here :) It’s not easy being in front of a camera but good on you for going for it.
-
That’s pretty cool Chris, very professional.

Funny you say that. I was pretty nervous ;) I had made a ton of notes and felt really prepared and then that all sort of went right out the window as soon as that show went live.
Hi Chris Franko!
I actually thought you did brilliant on MadCoins. I really appreciated your contribution and hear what you are trying to achieve. Chrisj is doing PR full time at Feathercoins, as a crypto developer you must be already run off your feet.
I know members of Feathercoin forum have gone out of their way to support other coins network in the past and completely acknowledge our debt to Litecoin and the Bitcoin protocol. (Bows down - “We are not worthy!”)
There is obviously a need for more than one coin.
Your example of the high difficulty mathematically engendering a high price but psychologically discouraging miners was extremely pertinent and interesting.
There have been heated discussions in the past , I have argued for a very small proportional transaction fee, I also noted it would attract miners, and cure dust payment attacks. (The value increase will prevent those anyway).
The disadvantage was the traders didn’t want a cut of their profits going to the miners or some such.
In the end that discussion was too early in adoption to be a sensible thing to implement then with myriad other project ideas to also do. Mining was still viable on Litecoin and easier to trade then, so it was difficult Feathercoin, a competing coin to gain miners.
So the Feathercoin development team had to take other measures to secure the network and prevent being unfair to loyal miners. I agreed as I argued that the measures could be relaxed now (or when) the mining hash rate increases above the level of any potential attack.
We also instituted more guides and support for miners on the forum to encourage miners to mine Feathercoin.
Mode of Failure: Large Multipool Pool switchers punishing loyal Feathercoin miners on difficulty decrease.
Now there are more miners being attracted, it may be worth considering proportional fees again. As you rightly observed dispersed hash rate is the best way to secure the network.

Ok, here is one constructive criticism: poor lightning of Christopher’s face, the nose shadow was annoying ;)
I mean our FTC Chris :)
