Seems to me respondents are weighted towards English speaking countries. Wonder if this has anything to do with this being an English language forum?? :-\ Just a thought…

[/quote]Yes and hopefully we can change that now that we have become aware. We do have foreign language sections to the forum but the problem is they need moderation by someone who speaks that language.

What I was surprised by was the lack of representation from Canada. There’s a great English speaking country which appears almost unreached… Australia too.

[/quote]And that is exactly the reason why we wanted to do this map, to give ourselves a sense of what is lacking and therefore what work needed doing. We are more powerful with more diversity and representation across the globe. You can expect more from this.

Is there a way we can associate the Forum Profile location field with the Google Maps tracker? And then just for privacy policy, possibly add a check box beside location field in the account settings to give us permission to use their location for the tracker. I think it’d be a lot easier than having to individually add locations, plus new users don’t have to come across the thread and actually post to show up in the map.
