FTCFaucets (UPDATED! NEW SITE LAUNCHED! PLEASE REVIEW)
-
Alright guys, here’s the latest and greatest. This is VERY expandable (basically I designed it so that adding new coins takes only a few seconds) but right now covers both FTC and BTC in one place!
http://faucets.cryptoplace.net
Please review it. Let me know what you like/dislike. I took CoinFaucets and re-designed it from the ground up to hit on all of the requests people have made in the past (such as COUNTS OF REMAINING FAUCETS!).
I want to hear the good and the bad, :).
Thanks guys!

Great work

Cheers for the support

Thanks goes out to you two as well, :). Now we just need more people to run faucets, :p.

Just an fyi, I will be working on a redesign of the faucet including a new domain. Once I get back from vacation and have some spare time (i.e. Not busy in the lab). Will update you with new address once I’m done -
Sounds great. Keep me updated, :).
Edit: Sorry guys, dot.tk’s NS server crashed. As soon as it’s back up I’ll forward the sites to my personal NS.
Sadly, no. Dot.tk’s NS is completely down so I have absolutely no control over the domain anymore until they get it resolved. And this is why I was so hesitant to trust dot.tk in the past – mistake learned from. I want to sincerely apologize for this massive problem; I’ve had no issues from dot.tk in the past month and a half. But here’s the latest update I posted on BCT, which is also relevant to here:
Update! Dot.tk is still offline. Lucky for you guys, this is actually a good thing. There are a couple things coming as a result of this:
- I am moving to a real domain (yep, you read that right!)
- CoinFaucets is going through a massive overhaul in how it works (spoiler alert: the new system will support *all* faucet types on a single system; simply click a button to go from one faucet type to another! For example, FTC, BTC and LTC).
I expect to have the new site done “soonish” and when it is, I will be announcing the resurrection of the greatest Faucet Rotator there is! Essentially the site is being re-written from the ground up so I can add the features people have been asking about, :p.
Thanks for your support, all!
The instant scam accusation is really infuriating, raptorek and myself are trying our best to get ftc into the hands of the masses, people have to realize things don’t always go smoothly. Anyway let’s be positive, the rotator is a good idea and my faucet is not a scam. Forum users such as Owlie can back us up on this as I know he/she has been paid out from the site.
It’s not just on Twitter, either. On BCT forums I had a LOT of things to clear up. Between pissed off emails, pm’s and threads claiming the site “is a trojan” and such, this has done a lot of damage. I hope others learn from this and stay away from dot.tk domains. You have NO control over them so when the registrar does something you’re SOL since you can’t redirect anything (as the domain just points to a server IP; if it’s not pointed to yours, you can’t do anything).
I’m working on getting the new site up today if possible (having issues with optimizing a query…). The back-end is already up and I love it; no more having to manually edit files all the time. Now I can just log into the site, choose a site to add/edit/delete and within seconds it’s finished.
It also has a counter for faucets that are not on cooldown (ex. “FTC Faucets Ready: 1,” “BTC Faucets Ready: 29” and all it takes is a simple click to jump between them.

Update: according to Dot.tk there wasn’t a downtime. One of the sites (coinfaucets.tk) has popped back up in to my ownership again and forwards to the proper URL. Working with them to figure out what went wrong.
I’m still moving to a separate domain though; this situation is a bad one and not something I really want to go through again in the future.
On that note: the new site is around 75% done. Pretty much just trying to work with queries (I suck with them) to optimize things a bit.
NP! I’m learning quite a bit from it all so it’s really a win-win (everyone who goes to the site gets more features and I get the learning experience), :). Hopefully this situation has also helped teach people why .tk domains are looked down upon by so many.

Can a mod/admin delete this thread so I can give it a fresh start once the new site is up and running? I think that’s a lot better than how it is now; it’s turned into a negative thread, :(.
Not because of the people though; because of the situation! I just think it could use a fresh start. And FWIW, new site is around 85% done!
