Hello! An old miner returnining!
-
Hi everyone, I used to casually mine FTC a couple of years ago after it made it’s debut. I would like to continue to mine it, however I’m getting a few errors and I seem to have some issues.
I’m mining using two 7850’s and I assume it would be enough with the low difficulty. However I’m not getting anything done…
this is my config for Sgminer 5.2 if I remember correctly.
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
sgminer --algorithm neoscrypt -o stratum+tcp://coinotron.com:3337 -u -p -I 13 -w 128 --gpu-fan 100-100Picture attached!!
Im not getting any work done or accepted shares… Just high LW
any help
?Thanks

@Miner49er
I have moved your post to the mining section. You should be able to post there now.

Hi there, the answer will probably be that you’ll need to use Ghostlanders NSGminer.
FTC did have some work done in SGminer early on with Neoscrypt but NSGminer has been further developed and optimised since and SGminer wasn’t. -
Hmm alright will try and report back. Thanks!

Hey everyone just an update. Got Nsgminer 0.92 running.
However I’m still facing errors and I’m not sure if it’s maybe coin-o-tron that’s causing my errors…
It just keeps repeating that over and over, when I quit I get the summary screen and it says
Pool 0 stratum+tcp://coinotron.com:3337 not Responding!
Any suggestions?

In order that members can test / run on an “open pool”, FTC admins have thought it important to have p2pool, or open pools available. P2pool has been modified for FTC and is maintained to be compatible with the latest release version.
P2pool can be run on your own local mining system to have your own pool, or a GUI with solo mining…
In order to make sure there is always a pool (to use with a GPU miner), Wellenreiter (and I and others) run p2pool nodes.

Looks like there might have been some DDoS on Pools (coinotron) going on … Suggest trying p2pool.
