White market for Feathercoins
-
Already now, we should start implementing a white market, where people would have an option to trade under real, certified identities. We should implement a price stabilization mechanism in this white market, and make sure that whole this undertaking results in Feathercoin being used for economic revival, rather than minor self-enrichment of coin squatters and moochers. I propose to also discuss the white market rules in advance with anti-fraud cops, such as http://www.cityoflondon.police.uk/advice-and-support/fraud-and-economic-crime/nfib
Localized price stabilization means that there would have to be specific rules, which would not infringe upon freedom of the traders, but at the same time allow two-tier price, different from the price in the wild market (which we are unable to stabilize due to its size).
I was thinking that perhaps http://cryptonit.net would help us out. They already have everything, except enough users. In the worst case, this will be just one more market in Feathercoin ecosystem. In the best case, if we get the market rules right, it might become a fast lane for Feathercoin success.

any opinions on that issue?

My concern would be people using it. What incentive would there be for people to use the white market versus a standard exchange?

If its was a two tier market there would only ever be either buy or sell incentive depending on if the price was higher or lower than the “wild” price
I think if we’re gonna do it we are going to have to at least try to tackle the entire market.(even if from within the white market)
