Interesting discussion a DEV trust index

Found this post from Coin Source on bitcointalk.
Basically they are looking at setting up a service for Devs to verify who they actually are with the premise that people who verify their real world name email address etc are less likely to scam people.
Not sure I completely agree just because someone provides their real world name still won’t try and scam people.
It also looks at the moment that it will still be fairly easy to beat their verify system with an alias too.
They also will not release to the public any info the collect other than to say that Dev is verified.
Can’t decided if this is a good idea, or almost another scam in itself.
Read the thread and you decide

Business base: “C_oins Source Inc._ by the State of California and The United States” (they are legally forced to submit ALL data under US law to the Gvt)
Sounds like a Gvt database to me. Yes, please, all coin devs, please give us all your personal details so we can come to your house and serve notice upon you having legal ownership of the entity we want to destroy.
Satoshi had the right idea, I’d let it loose and vanish too, there’s NO legal liability then, nor can it ever be legally challenged. Coiynecoin anyone?
They need your “Legal” identity can take your legal “persona” to court

Subject to the Digital Millennium Act then, so yes any data you give them they have to give the US government if they ask for it without informing you.
