Windows Mobile Wallet "lite"
-
Agreed. The Electrum way of doing it was kind of how I figured it would need to be done. Have a web service running that hosts the blockchain and use service calls to get the work done.
Unfortunately it will probably take some pretty heavy lifting to harden and protect the service (which I’m not looking forward to). Not nearly as fun as playing with XAML :-)

OK, I’ve got a beta ready to publish. . . .just need beta testers now to help me out. . .
Anyone at all have a WM phone?
Need email addresses to send you a private invite to the beta.
Ended up being basically a paper wallet replacement for now.
- Encrypted PIN Access
- Encrypted Private Keys stored
- Only a public address is “required”
Thanks!
-
Update:
Beta is posted and in the store.
Anyone can access and view, but only beta testers can install (just let me know if you want to be included in the current round of beta testing). See the link for screenshots.

- Ended up essentially as a multi-currency wallet (currently FTC, BTC & LTC).
- Live-tiles on the home screen can be “pinned” accounts/wallets which show refreshing balances and provide one-click access to the Address Barcode.
- Private keys can (optionally) be provided and are encrypted on the device.
- PIN entry is required to view the private key or delete any data.
As time goes on I’ll try to add other alt-currencies and also support payment transactions for the currencies.
I’ll post an updated link when the app exits beta and is generally available. Thanks again for all the questions answered here on the forums!

I used to have a windows phone until recently just went android for the wallet.
Let me know if you get any testers :)

Excellent work. This is really good news for supported coins, last time I looked there was not even a Bitcoin wallet for Windows Phone.
I have moved this to technical development where it will be better spotted by those willing to assist. I still have Ruthie’s old Nokia Lumia 800 which only works when plugged in. I will fire it up and do some testing on your wallet :)

Remember the 800 isn’t a Windows 8 phone but 7.5/7.8/Mango. If you get it to run 7.5+ I will test too. -
Ruthie is suggesting the Windows phone 8 Feathercoin wallet, for news letter #19.
I’ll pin it in Development for a while if that will help get some publicity …

Ok. Firstly, its ‘Windows Phone 8’. Not Windows Mobile, its the legacy OS of 2010 ::)
I have been on Windows development since Windows Phone 7 on 2011… till date I have published around 20 WP7/WP8 apps and around 4 Windows 8 apps.
So far, I have almost all devices available to test speed, RAM, screen resolution, screen size. (HTC Trophy 7, Lumia 800/900/920/520/1020/1520, Samsung Ativ S)
Anything you name it. Windows Phone 7 (Not updated to 7.8 yet!), jailbroken Windows Phone 7.8/Windows Phone 8, etc.I’ve sent you a PM, do add me to the beta! I’m sure I have lots of suggestions to add ;D
You can also ask me anything regarding Windows Phone development.================
I have an upcoming app related to crypto too, been in the works for the past 2 months. (Especially on the backend system).

I can’t reveal much yet, until it is released but stay tuned! Its going to be something that’s not available on Android and iOS too. (Trying to get funding from Nokia/Microsoft too, to expand this aggressively)
Feathercoin will also be featured heavily in it too ;D

GA Update:
I submitted it for general release approval but came back I need to do some further minor tweaks (long story. . . .). Just made the changes required (e.g. renamed app, reworded description, new icons, etc.) and resubmitted today. Should know in a couple of days if it’s available publicly.Beta Testers
If you’re interested in a more immediate release, and haven’t done so yet, just PM me your Live ID and I’ll add you to the beta list. Can’t install it without being on the list. Additionally, I’ll be releasing betas with new coin types and/or features as time goes on, so this gives you early access to those features.Futures
Also just started working on DOGE, will add support for that in the beta shortly. What other alt-coins should I get started on (typically I’ll mine a few for test purposes so need some advanced planning since I don’t have an uber-graphics card). Any requests?
-
When I try and download this I get told it’s not available in my region.
Please make this available for download in the UK.
Sorry for the delayed response.
There should be no “region” issues. It’s available anywhere. Just can’t install it without being in the beta program. Send me a Personal Message (PM) with your Windows Live ID and I’ll add you to the beta list.
GA Update. . .redux
Still working through the approval process. Applying for an exemption from one of the store policies surrounding financial data input and storage.
-
Finally released and is Generally Available to the public for download.
-
Had to remove private key support in order to adhere to Store policy.
-
Working on ways to add feature back and still remain in compliance.
-
Working on Dogecoin support as well.
For now, it works great for:
-
Paper Wallet Balance Tracking (for FeatherCoin, BitCoin, and LiteCoin)
-
One-Button access to QR Code (for vendors).
You can access and download the release here: http://coin-locker.com/download/
-
-
I am thinking of making some integration between both of our apps via URI protocol.
What do you suggest? :)I already have Bitcoin Can app on board to tap on the price and trade easily. Together, we can make the best & integrated Bitcoin application on Windows Phone 8.
-
@eaxvac: I’ll look into the integration. Fine with it if it makes sense.
Just updated _BETA _to:
-
Add DOGE support
-
Re-Add Private Key Support (removed in GA due to Store Policy Issues)
Looking to generate Key-Pairs on the fly for those currencies supported next (rather than forcing users to import from other wallets).
Looked into Quark, but their community has no public web-based block-chain API available that I can find. Can’t add support until addressed.
Again, let me know if you want in the Beta.
-
-
Sorry for the long delay in updates.
Just released/added to both Beta and Released versions of the app:
-
High Resolution Screen Support (e.g. Lumia 1520, Icon, etc.)
-
MUCH improved QRCode Scanning
Shout if you have any requests. Likely just going to add Quark to it next since it finally has a blockchain API.

Wow, Excellent work.
