+Rep +FTC

I see lots of FTC tipping happening on the Forum and also lots of +Rep giving out. I’d guess that the security concerns might make it difficult but wouldn’t it be a great feature, similar to the ‘Twitter Tipping’ to have a forum held wallet with small change in it that could be used to ‘tip’ FTC at the touch of a button?
Or is that over-engineering a ‘non problem’? haha.

I suppose the biggest question would be, “Who has the power to divvy out said tips”
Unless a bot could do it… Fairly… But this could be possible. For the time been though. I think we have other things for the few devs we have to work on…
Maybe we should scout out some developers who believe in the coin to pitch their free time in to start considering how this would be possible.

I think it is great Peter has made Feathercoin open. I help because it is open source, and a lot of members kept it going when we were loosing money mining to attackers (leaving the coin at high difficulty), because of the community element and what some of us know it could achieve.
I basically now see it that the Feathercoin site enables you to print money, or buy it directly from the miners. You can help secure the network or check and contribute to the code or community.
Prediction.
It’s probably the last but one phase before mass adoption (1 million Feathercoin wallets by October 2015), things are moving so fast … -
I am an “expert” on Maintenance Management techniques, so Rep+ for…
Or am I ‘Over engineering a non problem’?
Particularly as “Design out”, is always the least successful, least predictable and most expensive maintenance option to correct a problem.

Yeah. I guess the only other way to see it, is from the perspective of ‘choice architecture’, that the easier you make something for people, the more likely they are to do it. Although I’d take a guess that the hassle of ‘loading’ your ‘tipping wallet’ and remember to keep it topped up, could be enough of a short term hassle to discourage the feature from being truly easy.
I’ll see if I can encourage more FTC usage on my Music related forum and if it has an uptake, I might see where I can take it.
:D
