Who is actively working on Feathercoin and where do they want it to go ?
-
Ok, I am new here. Didn’t know Bitcoin and Litecoin were forbidden words. (Since I didn’t ask a question about them but use them to ask where Feathercoin stand beside them)
I’ve look quite a bit on the forum but didn’t find anything that would completely answer my question.
Maybe, if the question is asked as often as you say, it would be a good idea to pin a thread about it.
Anyway, thanks for the warm welcome, it’s always appreciated.
Bitcoin and Litecoin aren’t forbidden, they just cause a lot of drama.
Ask yourself how many different places you find car door handles in a car?
I always have to hunt around before I figure out how to get out of a new car.
LOL !
So now I know, I’ll be careful.
I want to be part of the community and participate to it.
That was the purpose of my question. I simply want to have as much knowledge as possible, to be able the share this knowledge to others.
I think it’s the basic purpose of a forum.
I might be wrong tho.
Hi Jonathon,
I extend a very warm welcome to you here. There are lots of very welcoming people on this forum. Perfectly valid questions I might add.

1.Litecoin has a central Foundation which employs a small number of programmers. They are following the Bitcoin protocol and will have similar feature until Litecoind 1.0. As will Feathercoin. They are already overwhelmed with controlling community patches.
2.Bitcoin uses Soundforge, feathercoin and litecoin use GitHub, to control their software. All three coins are part of the Bitcoin protocol. Feathercoin members and developers have passed bugs upstream, to Bitcoin.
3.There is no software advantage to Feathercoin particularly, it includes all the functions of Bitcoin. It has a good development community, with an aim to make wider adoption possible. It has been able survive the initial coin startup phase and get a wide range of pools and services available.
4.Feathercoin has also developed the discusion about the philosophical and practical implications of crypto currency. Feathercoin is widely established in the media. Feathercoin is distinguished now by being large enough to be secure and there fore useful and valuable. The first currency to do that where there has been a “bigger” coin with the same algorytm.

2.Bitcoin uses Soundforge
Sourceforge?* :)
Soundforge is audio hardware software. Great for making film clips and mixing wav files I believe… something I should be using…
