FTC Miner pool
-
Hello,
I have released my first android application which is a tool to monitor miners activity on feathercoin pool and feathercoin stats. It supports several pools, I tested it on d2, fcpool, give-me-coins and it seems to work well. I guess it should work on ther feathercoin pools.

Does anyone program for iPhone? ;)

I need a mac or a hackintosh to develop for iphone :(

Looks great from the screen shots. I have been looking for a decent pool watcher for sometime now. Unfortunatley when I searched for it on the play store on my phone it didn’t come up. Maybe my phone is too old?

Hi,
Thanks. What version of Android do you have ?
I did not exclude any device but you need Android 3.0 or later. -

[/quote]Ah that’s why. Yeah I have an older device right now running Android 2.3.4, any plans to open it up to that OS?
Cheers

Thanks ! :)
I improved it today with a new feature: notification.
It is still in beta but it works great on my phone. It allows the app to notifiy you when at leat one of your worker is not alive. -
Hi,
Really nice looking app. Hope I can get it work on my phone. Tipped you couple FTC for development ;)
I tried to install this, but I faced some bug. Here is some report. First app can be installed and is running correctly. After I tried to set Nut2pool API address the program crash. On the moment of crash program is showing “loading pool data” window. It might be that I somehow mess up with API address, but my technical problem is not incorrect address I set there. The problem is that I didn’t find solution to stabilize program anymore and program keep on crashing. Usually just cleaning application data fixes problem, if mess up something with android application, but not this time.
Already tried these solution:
- Remove application data,
- Empty application memory,
- Force reboot application,
- Clean phone RAM,
- Reboot phone,
- Reinstall application,
- All above listed things together
After all these app still start with “loading pool data” window and crash after that. It seems like API link is saved to phone memory somehow different than most of apps? Or some bug on application data cleaning? Before setting any API link this app was working well. Here is some extra information… Phone model: Samsung GT-I8190N, Android version: 4.1.2.

Thanks Ville.
I finished a new version that should: improvement of the UI and bug correction. This update should be available in the google play store in a few hours or less :)
Regarding your problem, I think there is an error with the pool’s url. If you execute the app with network data disabled on the phone (wifi and 3g), it won’t try to load data so it won’t fail. Then you can correct url. If you found what is the error in the url, please let me know so I can handle it in the future.
Else I worked on the problem of data that are not removed after an uninstall. It should work with the new update.
Let me know if this solve your problems.
Thanks.

Awesome work!
That application bug solved now. I tested that removing application data from android settings also work now… So this can be easy alternative solution if someone face this kind of problem in future.
I was investigating how to input correct API link to Nut2Pool, but didn’t get it work yet. I tested application now with sample address on play store and it is working correctly. Sent you more information on PM. First time really mess up with API link and that caused the crash in first place ::)

Excellent work! This has replaced two apps I had! Well done!
Mmmm, I’m struggling to get this ti work with Coinotron.com
I’ve pasted my API key into field and clicked save but nothing…

Thanks.
Regarding nut2pool and Coinotron, it seems they did not use the same output than the other I tested. After a quick first look the structure and the content si different so I have to think what I can do. Thanks for your help and commet on the subject.
I hope you like the new UI. If you have any comment about it, please do not hesitate.
