Why the hell is everyone panicking?!

It’s going to be funny if the Chinese government comes out and claims they made a boo boo followed by a retraction of their BTC restrictions.

The Bank of America / Merrill Lynch has made a statement claiming that bitcoins current value should be about $1300 usd.
Is Bitcoin a bubble? Assuming Bitcoin becomes (1) a major player in both ecommerce and money transfer and (2) a significant store of value with a reputation close to silver, our fair value analysis implies a maximum market capitalization of Bitcoin of $15bn (1BTC = 1300 USD). This suggests that the 100 fold increase in Bitcoin prices this year is at risk of running ahead of its fundamentals.
To translate, btc is worth $1300 usd but not more at this current point in time.
So yeah…
We have “their” attention now it seems…

Additional edit: To be able to short in the first place you must of course put in some money as security for your short-position, your position will be force-liquidated if the price was to exceed the level on which your balance comes negative. To input money into Bitfinex it’s easiest to buy BTC on other exchanges, transfer it to Bitfinex and sell it for cash there.
And that’s what the Banks are doing with my pension shares now, very informative.

“Why the hell is everyone panicking?!”
Because people are fools. Just ride it out; the prices will be back up and beyond in no time.
If anyone wants to sell me their FTC at 0.30, just PM me. I’ll gladly take them off you. I’m also looking to buy BTC and LTC at current prices.
I bought BTC at £70 and LTC at £3.70 haha. Feel pretty smug. Got my first 50 FTC for £6. That’s why I don’t really sweat the price fluctuations; even if they plummet I’m still massively up. ;D

Yay. The people who control fiat don’t like being out of control, so they’ll try to control cryptocurrency through fiat based manipulation. At least, that’s what I saw after reading the entire thread. That wasn’t a happy yay.
