No, not Brazil. Please, anything but Brazil.

Ok looking in to this today. I might not be able to edit the page myself for the reasons outlined below but I could kick things off.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations#Am_I_allowed_to_edit_articles_about_myself_or_my_organization.3F
Am I allowed to edit articles about myself or my organization?
An important guideline here is our guideline on conflict of interest. You are discouraged from writing articles about yourself or organizations (including their campaigns, clients, products and services) in which you hold a vested interest. However, if you feel that there is material within an existing article which is incorrect, or not neutral in its tone, please point this out on the article’s talk page. Likewise, if you have content which you think should be added, please discuss this on the talk page. Editing articles that you are affiliated with is not completely prohibited; you may do so as specified within the COI guideline, but you must follow our policies. Note that the guideline very strongly discourages direct article editing if you have a financial conflict of interest; see WP:NOPAY. You are expected to allow other editors to revise your contributions as they see fit. If you follow our basic rules, your edits may be accepted by the community; if you don’t, they may be reverted. You may end up being blocked if you attempt to insist on your version or otherwise hinder the collaborative efforts of your peers to reach a version of the article based on the consensus of the community.
I think this pretty much rules out Bush, Ruth, Me and any of the devs as being editors of the page so I think what I should do is login, make myself known as one of the people at Feathercoin on the talk page and we can take it from there.

Ok the latest comment says:
Delete - Coverage is sparse and not significant. At this point, Feathercoin is one many Bitcoin type initiatives. No prejudice to recreation in the future if it actually catches on and gets significant coverage. – Whpq (talk) 18:25, 1 October 2013 (UTC)
So basically there are lots of alt crypto currencies of which Feathercoin is just one and having a few articles on Coindesk isn’t going to cut it. I am going to put a task force together consisting of:
Mirrax
Pyxis
Ghostlander
chrisjA quick search on Google reveals we have a few more articles than are listed on Mirrax’s page so the first task is:

Build complete list of Feathercoin media coverage

Combine it in with Pyxis’ Feathercoin Timeline

Draft an alternative Feathercoin article up to wikipedia standards with advice from Ghostlander and wikipedia admins
-
Haters will hate. We need to expand the article with references to various reputable sources we can find. It will be difficult for haters to justify the deletion given this significant improvement.

I’ve got a bit of time this week. I’ll have a crack at it. I’m not an expert on FTC, just a forum stalker - which is an advantage because I’m not associated with the feathercoin project or team, which means my edits should pass muster.
I note one of the main criticisms is that the article is working from an original based on the Litecoin page. I think we can do better, especially for the introductory section in which we could provide an overview of the technology - especially that which is unique about FTC - and of the motivations for establishing feathercoin, and its ethos, etc.
I’ve no trouble writing documentation, but if anyone’s got any recommended dotpoints or links to source info that would help. Feel free to PM me or reply here in this thread. I’ll look into the links above and see if I can apply it.

Ok, I’ve made a couple of minor additions to history, will try to add rest in next couple of days.
Am open to suggestions on what needs to be added.
I have added some more articles here and have gathered some more facts this morning for another journalist relating to an article on Bitcoin that is coming out. Where should we collaborate on this, in here?
Thanks so much for this. I think the key points are listed in Pyxis’ Feathercoin Timeline. And I am finding more media resources here.

Would it be worth adding info on feathercoinj which is feathercoin specific and we could add articles with how to use it etc? Just to add a little variety perhaps?
Yes I think this is a good idea. Have you got any experience adding entries to Wikipedia?
-
Unfortunately no and to be fair my literary skills leave alot to be desired. But I would be happy to put together some how to guides as I slowly get up to speed on feathercoin. I could post them on a blog or something so all links don’t just come back here.
Well that would be for us to have anyway so please do. Why don’t you try one out this weekend and post up a sample or PM to me if you prefer?

Here’s an update on the Wikipedia Feathercoin deletion talk page
After @Cliff12345 & @Whpq came in with their smart ass remarks on how our entry was all self promotion and not independent enough, not to mention the fact that apparently Feathercoin doesn’t even pass the Wikipedia Notability test the user @WSF then responds with a great retort:
Most technical details provided in the article may be verified easily by checking commit history of their open source project at GitHub, though certain programming experience is required. For instance, the article on Litecoin has no better notability level as most of the references are either Bitcoin related or affiliated closely to the project. However, I fail to see it labelled for deletion or having any issues at all. WSF (talk) 14:00, 3 October 2013 (UTC)
This is then followed by a WWF Belly Slam from @Mark viking
There are a number of news articles that look secondary and reasonably independent to me. The articles are from coindesk.com, bitcoinmagazine.com and theguardian.com; theses sources look reliable to me, but I’m no expert on the specialist press for this field. Overall, it seems like there are multiple RS needed for marginal notability. The article is bit promotional, but toning it down is a surmountable problem, per WP:SURMOUNTABLE. A marginally notable topic and and an article with surmountable problems suggests a (marginal) keep. --Mark viking (talk) 04:15, 4 October 2013 (UTC)
Emphasis mineThe battle continues.
I was going to get involved but a) I don’t get this strange culture they have going on with their weird commenting procedure and b) all I would be able to say is “I work for Feathercoin and I think the article should stay”, duh! Which would end up making the situation worse since we are already being accused of having a promotional entry in the first place.

Progress: this article is no longer up for deletion:

But work still needs to be done, is anyone on this? Let me know if you need help co-ordinating and I can get something setup on Do.com.

Hey is anyone looking after this? We can’t let it get deleted again. I will try another contact of mine.
