This was to attempt to stop people changing history by setting a 10 minute time frame to edit your post.
There are a few members who miss this feature so have enabled the ability to edit posts again.

The forum is still available under the archive and if you speak to Phenix they will tell you that they are still working on the Bridge. Whatever there is to say about UNOCS and the Bridge, it does not require a whole subforum for it.

[/quote]Yes, that’s one emotion I’m having regarding this. Yes, I can empathize with your disappointment. You put your trust into people expecting that they’re going to stay true to their word. You invest time, effort, money, sweat, thought, friends, community, good-will, and bet the future of your pet project on other people’s promises, and when they turn out to be taking you for a ride for their own short-term profit while secretly focusing their efforts on their own pet project… yeah. Disappointing.

A “whole subforum”? A subforum is the LEAST of my concerns. Press releases, bitcointalk.org posts, countdowns, exchange chats, blogs, reviews, screen-grabs, promises, lies, deception, lost opportunities, destroyed public perception… that’s what keeps me up at night. Not a subforum or a lack of one.
As far as asking Phenix anything, I think we’ve established they aren’t accountable for anything they say. “Asking them when it will be launched” is clearly best done after they’ve taken you out for a nice dinner and a few glasses of wine.
I’m just noting how now it’s all being made to appear like it never happened. No updates, no talking about it, no revised timelines, no new plans, no press releases, no WEBSITE any more. It’s like Fight Club, where the first rule of UNOCS is you do not talk about UNOCS, and the second rule of UNOCS is YOU DO NOT TALK ABOUT UNOCS.

I’d like to see the owners of these huge mistakes own up to them and quit lying to everyone.
I’d like to see a public apology issued for pulling the wool over everyone’s eyes and taking them for a ride.
I’d like to see a full account of exactly what happened, who was responsible, and why it went wrong.
I’d like to see a press release about it.
I’d like to see the people responsible FIXING it instead of just walking away from it.
I’d like to see all the promises that were made take the highest priority and reach completion.
I’d like to see participation from the people responsible in the forums, not just appointed mouthpieces repeating what they falsely claim and then deleting the posts later.
I’d like to see some organization and structure brought to the development process by the developers.
I’d like to see the entire process run less like a monarchy or oligopoly and more like a democracy.
I’d like to see some decisions made by the community, instead of the community taking a back seat to the self-appointed leaders.
I’d like to see some SERIOUS transparency in the decision making process.
I’d like to see the coin’s value rise, and adoption to grow among the masses, and I’d like to see a plan for how the actions being taken are in line with that goal.
I’d like to see each of these points addressed in a fair, constructive manner instead of just hand waved and told, “Well if you could do a better job then do it.”
I’d like to stop receiving vague threats from said appointed leaders for expressing my opinion in a public forum.That’s what I would like to see.

Kevlar, please understand that a lot of us feel disappointed about UNOCS. For all the hype we so far have ended up with nothing and we feel the burn of this. I have said that Phenix is still planning on releasing the Bridge but this community should no longer be doing any of the leg work. We have put a lot into the partnership and so far the result has been negative.
I am not sure who you are asking to stop lying as I have never lied about UNOCS to anyone. I trust that you understand that your full list is above and beyond what is reasonable. We have sparred before on the forum and I do not intend to repeat that performance. I find this frustrating as with your long list of credentials you could have a positive impact but your contributions have been largely negative and destructive.
This thread is to discuss the forum rejig, please start a new thread if you want to discuss UNOCS. If you continue to be negative and destructive I will take action and ban your account.

Why can’t an apology be issued?
Why not another press release?
Why can’t a full account be produced?
Why can’t the people who stepped up to the plate do the job they agreed to do?
Why can’t the promises made be brought to fruition?
Why can’t the Phenix people post here?
Why can’t you organize the development process?
Why can’t the community vote on the priorities, elect their representation, and have a say in the direction of the organization?
Why can’t decisions be made in a transparent way?

You’re dead wrong there. Myself and a handful of other members are the only ones proposing real solutions to the problems. Nothing I have said or done could even be REMOTELY compared to the destruction brought about by the people responsible for UNOCS, yet I don’t see you reprimanding them in a public forum.

[/quote]Actually I was referring to the rest of what you said, specifically that this community should no longer be doing any of the leg work, and that the results of the partnership have been negative.
It’s a good example of the type of transparency that’s desperately needed: The community should KNOW this, and doing things like removing the UNOCS subforum without any follow up post about UNOCS in general doesn’t allow for that.
I’m all for re-jigging, I’m just saying, let the community know what’s going on.

You are demanding too much so please be reasonable. Everyone in this contributes their time for free to the project. This is not a commercial venture.
I have said that we are going to prepare a document on what we have learned and how to learn from this. That is what you are going to have to wait for but I can tell you now that it will fall very short of your list.

[/quote]Sure. But do you really think it is realistic picking at the pieces of the UNOCS trainwreck as opposed to moving on. The person who spearheaded the whole thing has moved on probably to dodge all of this and I am left guessing as to his motives. It is possible that Phenix are just really very bad at project management but I have no real way to find that out so I am not going to spend time picking through this wreck.
Phenix say that they are still going to produce the Bridge but by the time it gets here I expect it will be irrelevant.
I have had a good experience working with Worldcoin by the way. They seem like a very nice bunch of chaps who are trying to do best by their coin. PXC are very tight lipped about everything so it is much more difficulty to gauge what is going on there.
I bet they chose UNOCS because it reminded them of UNIX, maybe they never heard of a eunuch.
